CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH
WOODWORTH MARDI GRAS PARADE
We welcome Father Dennis Rausch of Cross Catholic Outreach who will be speaking this weekend at the Masses on behalf of the poor in developing countries. This ministry was founded to create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the priests and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Central and South America. Please be generous in your response to Father’s appeal. Brochures will be provided if you wish to support this worthy Catholic ministry.
Mary, Mother of Jesus will be participating in the Annual Woodworth Mardi Gras Parade on February 7, 2015. We need ideas, volunteers, and throws. There is a box in the narthex if you would like to donate throws. MASS & SANCTUARY CANDLE INTENTIONS Requests are being accepted for Masses & Sanctuary Candles for 2015. Masses may be celebrated and candles memorialized for the living or the dead, in thanksgiving, for birthdays or anniversaries, or any other acceptable need. Please call the parish office.

SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE FELLOWSHIP Thank you to all who volunteered their time and participated in the Sunday Morning Coffee Fellowship. It has been a great success! However, it is time to sign up again for the months of February, March, April and May. Please choose the date(s) you would like to serve as host or hostess and contact Bobbie Long at 318-442-3578. NORFOLK ISLAND PINE TREES FOR SALE The trees that graced our sanctuary and narthex during the Advent and Christmas Seasons are now available for purchase. MARDI GRAS POT LUCK DINNER We will be hosting a Mardi Gras Pot Luck Dinner on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Cumella Hall immediately following the 4:00PM Mass. The meats and desserts will be provided. Please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex and bring a side dish (vegetable, salad, starch) if you plan on attending. Hope to see everyone there.

You may then drop it in the collection basket or mail it to the office. Your stewardship offering can be made weekly or monthly and by using your checking account or a credit card.
SPECIAL COLLECTION Next week, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. Catholics in Latin America and the Caribbean face many challenges, including violence and a lack of both clergy and lay leadership to witness to the gospel message. Baptism Celebrated during any weekend Mass or on Sunday afternoons. Contact the church office. Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.
