FIRST MONDAY SUPPER
LENTEN REGULATIONS
March 2nd - 5:00PM to 7:00PM - Cumella Hall $7 per plate - Dine In or Take Out Menu: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Carrot Soufflé & Bread
Every Thursday Morning 9:00AM - In the Church
The Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat. The obligation to abstain from meat binds Catholics 14 years of age and older. It is obvious that abstaining from meat is meaningless for vegetarians, who must choose some other form of abstinence. It is equally obvious that replacing meat with a gourmet seafood meal is not in keeping with the spirit of Lent.

If you are a victim or survivor - of sexual abuse by members of the Catholic clergy or representatives of the Catholic Church and you want to make a formal complaint of abuse to the diocese, arrange a personal meeting with the bishop or his representative, and/or to obtain support for the needs of the individual and families, call Ms Mary Girard, Victim Assistance Coordinator (318) 623-3804 or the Diocesan HOTLINE (318) 445-1427.
STEWARDSHIP NOTE “ ‘Here I am!’ he answered.” (Genesis 22:11) It is easy to say, “Here I am, Lord,” when we are kneeling in church. Can we just as easily answer, “Here I am, Lord,” when we go home, when a neighbor needs our help, when a fellow parishioner asks us to join a committee, or when a letter asks for our financial help? These are often exactly the places where Jesus calls us to be.
2015 ANNUAL DIOCESAN APPEAL
OUR RECOVERING... Rhonda Bolen, Cameron Brown, Amy Ladner Davis, Walter, Jr. & Jackie Deptula, Carson Glascock, Charie Hakeman, Terry Kohler, Mary Mayeux, Philip Paige, Donna Pearson, Betsy Powell, Harold Roshto OUR SHUT-INS, AND HOMEBOUND... Joan Alpha, Marty Doiron, Karen Guidry, Daphne Land, Ray Reich, Nell Rice, Fleta Waits, Mary Virginia Young OUR NURSING HOME RESIDENTS... Florence Broussard, Rose Ponthieux If you know of anyone who should be included or removed, please contact Kathy at the Church office. You may also use a pew envelope for this purpose.
Our Goal: $11,050.00 Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. St. Paul reminds us that God Himself “did not spare His own Son.” Jesus’ death was God’s greatest gift to us. He gave his only Son so we may have eternal life! Are my gifts to the Lord—of my resources, of my time, of myself—also sacrificial? Do I gratefully and generously share with my parish, the community and the Universal Church? Your support of the 2015 Annual Diocesan Appeal is a grateful response to God’s greatest gift to us.
We would also like to include the names of any active duty military for whom you would like us to pray. If you know any nursing home residents for whom you would like us to pray, please inform Kathy of their names.
