YOUTH NURSING HOME VISIT Saturday, May 9th 10:30AM - 11:30AM Meet at Regency Nursing Home (5131 Masonic Dr.) Join us as we celebrate Mother’s Day with our elderly! All youth ages 8-18 are invited!

1ST ANNUAL SPRING FAMILY FUN DAY The Men of MMJ will host a family fun day on May 31, 2015, beginning at 12:00Noon. We’ll have pony/horse rides, games, etc. for all ages. The parish will provide pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring your favorite sides, drinks and lawn chairs. There will be fun for everyone so please mark your calendar and make plans to attend as a single, couple or family All are welcome!!!

WEIGHT WATCHERS MEETING Our parish would like to host weekly meetings in the hall. We need at least 20 interested individuals, parishioners and non-parishioners. If you think you might be interested, please email Priscilla Gadel at Priscilla.s@prodigy.net and type weight watchers in the subject line.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION/CCD As you may recall, our original plan was to provide a week of Religious Education the first week of June in addition to monthly education via the homily at the 10:30AM Sunday Mass. Since most parents expressed a preference for weekly classes instead, the summer week has been cancelled. A Vacation Bible School program will be planned for the future. Beginning September 9, 2015 we will have regular Wednesday classes from 6:00PM to 7:30PM for grades 1 to 11. Separate sacramental preparation classes for first Penance and first Communion will be offered on Sundays from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. Please email Kathy at mmjwoodworth@att.net as soon as possible to preregister your child(ren) for Religious Education/CCD classes in the Fall.

Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.

STEWARDSHIP NOTE “Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace to you.’ But they were startled and frightened.” (Luke 24:36-37) Throughout the day we have many opportunities to “see the face of Jesus” in others and provide some “peace” in their lives. Just because the person is a stranger, maybe looks different than us or is someone we don’t particularly care for doesn’t let us off the hook.
