Diocesan Planning Study Bishop Herzog is working to address several challenges facing our Diocese. Over the next several weeks, the Bishop is asking every parishioner to fill out a planning study survey, which will gather your feedback regarding several, proposed diocesan-wide needs. The diocesan web page, diocesealex.org/survey, has more information about participating in the online survey. The password to the survey is “Alexandria.” If it is more convenient, please consider attending one of these focus group meetings nearby: Tuesday, August 18th - 6:30PM St. Rita Church Wednesday, August 19th - 6:30PM St. Francis Xavier Cathedral

Piano To Donate?? Cumella Hall could benefit from a piano for times such as Mardi Gras, Christmas, etc., when live music would enhance our celebration. If you or someone you know has a piano in good playable condition, please contact Fr. Paul.

MMJ Youth Center The back meeting room in Cumella Hall has been cleaned and new carpeting installed, for the benefit of our youth. We’re now searching for good, used furniture such as lamps, living roomtype chairs, sofas, TV and DVD player, etc. If you have anything you’d like to donate or purchase, please contact Matt or Katie.

Thank You To... ...an anonymous parishioner for donating the new carpet in the youth center and another who donated a new refrigerator for the kitchen; Jerry Choate, Eric Fuqua and Tucker Foshee for cleaning the A/C unit in the hall attic; and Mike Leleux who also helped clean the yard at the rectory. Our parish is indeed blessed!!!

Always Our Children This document was written by the bishops of the U. S. as one way to help parents whose children have a homosexual orientation. It also offers advice to pastors and church communities. Copies of this statement are located on the bookcase in the Narthex. Please feel free to take one if you think this document might be of value to you or someone you know.
