I happily and thankfully announce that this past week I received a letter from Bishop Herzog officially incardinating me (once again) as a priest of the Diocese of Alexandria. It is both a blessing and a gift to be “home” again!!

Fall Garage Sale Saturday, September 19, 2015 6:00AM to 2:00PM As you continue to clean and organize your homes, please save any garage sale worthy items you may have lying around your house or garage etc. All donations for our sale are appreciated. Lack of storage prevents us from being able to accept any items until the week of the garage sale. Dates and times will be announced. We are not able to accept any articles of clothing. If you have any questions, please call Priscilla Gadel at (318) 446-5502.
Diocesan Planning Study Bishop Herzog is working to address several challenges facing our Diocese. Over the next several weeks, the Bishop is asking every parishioner to fill out a planning study survey, which will gather your feedback regarding several, proposed diocesan-wide needs. The diocesan web page, diocesealex.org/survey, has more information about participating in the online survey. Piano To Donate?? Cumella Hall could benefit from a piano for times such as Mardi Gras, Christmas, etc., when live music would enhance our celebration. If you or someone you know has a piano in good playable condition, please contact Fr. Paul.
MMJ Youth Center The back meeting room in Cumella Hall has been cleaned and new carpeting installed, for the benefit of our youth. We’re now searching for good, used furniture such as lamps, living roomtype chairs, sofas, TV and DVD player, etc. If you have anything you’d like to donate or purchase, please contact Matt or Katie.
Thank You To... ...an anonymous parishioner for donating the new carpet in the youth center and another who donated a new refrigerator for the kitchen; Jerry Choate, Eric Fuqua and Tucker Foshee for cleaning the A/C unit in the hall attic; and Mike Leleux who also helped clean the yard at the rectory. Our parish is indeed blessed!!!

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION/CCD REGISTRATION In the narthex after all Masses next weekend DIOCESAN PLANNING STUDY Please consider participating in the online survey TOPS WEIGHT LOSS MEETING Monday, August 10 - 5:30pm In Cumella Hall Sacraments of the Church Reconciliation/Confession 30 minutes before every weekend Mass for 15 minutes. Baptism Celebrated during any weekend Mass or on Sunday afternoons. Contact the church office. Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.
