SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH Reconciliation/Confession 30 minutes before every weekend Mass for 15 minutes. Baptism Celebrated during any weekend Mass or on Sunday afternoons. Contact the church office to make arrangements. Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the pastor directly.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION/CCD 2014-15 Introduction for Parents & Students September 3, 2014, Cumella Hall Grades 1 thru 8 - 6:00PM to 6:45PM Grades 9 thru 11 - 7:00PM to 7:30PM Registration will take place at these meetings.

LITURGICAL MINSTRIES All current altar servers, lectors, and ministers of holy Communion are asked to meet with Father Paul following the Mass which you will be attending on the weekend August 23 & 24. This brief meeting is also for anyone interested in participating in one of these ministries.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS If you are celebrating a 25, 40, 50, 60 or more anniversary in 2014, we would like to honor you on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the 4:00PM Mass and present you with a Papal Blessing in honor of your marriage. If you would like to participate, please call or email the church office before September 1st.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY This ministry is intended to reach out to those who are sick, lonely or in need of our prayers. An organizational meeting will be held in Cumella Hall, Tuesday, August 19th at 9:30AM. All are welcome. Please call Priscilla at 442-2245 if you have any questions.

BISHOP’S GOLF TOURNAMENT The 2014 Bishop Invitational Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 13th at the Oak Wing Golf Course. Lunch begins at 11:00AM followed by tee-off time at noon. The cost for the fourperson scramble is $540 per team (or $135 per person) and includes green fees, cart, range balls, lunch, and refreshments. Sponsorships are available at $100 for Hole sponsor; $250 for Silver sponsor; $540 for Team sponsor; $1,000 for Gold Chalice sponsor; and $2,500 for Platinum Chalice sponsor. ILLUMINATED ROSARY St. Joseph Church, Marksville, LA Thursdays from May 15th - October 30th 8:15PM (7:15 p.m. in September). On the parish hall grounds. In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the church.

YOUTH MINISTRY FORMATION DAY Are you looking at ways to minister to youth and their families? Do you want the youth to be formed as disciples and to learn how to grow in faith in their young adult years? The day begins at 8:30AM including lunch at the St. Joseph Catholic Center. The cost is $10/person.
