Mass & Sanctuary Candle Intentions

Next weekend Deacon Derek Ducote will conclude his internship in our parish. He will then return to Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans to resume his studies. We thank him for his ministry and presence in our parish community. There will be a reception in his honor next Sunday, October 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the hall.

Masses may be celebrated and candles memorialized for the living, the dead, in thanksgiving, for birthdays, anniversaries, prayers answered, or any other appropriate need or reason. Although Masses are always “free”, a monetary donation is customary. Please call the parish office.

Forty Days For Life

Located on the display case in the narthex are two complimentary booklets. One is a special 2016 edition on Mary and the Saints. This is most appropriate for the month of October which is traditionally devoted to the rosary; and the month of November which is dedicated to all the Saints. The second is Living with Christ, a complete daily missal for October 2016.

September 28th - November 6th This is a powerful campaign of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil and outreach in an effort to end abortion. Visit 40daysforlife.com.

Some of you may have already received a phone call or email from me because I noticed that I haven’t seen you for several weeks. This is not meant to scold or embarrass anyone. It‘s just to find out if there’s a crisis, illness, or something similar that I, as pastor, should know about. It’s also possible that our parish family may be of service in such situations.

First Reconciliation Class Sunday, October 9th 9:00AM to 10:00AM - Cumella Hall If your son/daughter is planning to receive First Communion in the Spring at our church parish, they must also attend these six sessions for first Confession/Reconciliation.

Janitorial/Maintenance We are once again in need of a part-time janitorial/maintenance worker for an average of 20 hours per week. For more information contact Kathy at mmjwoodworth@suddenlinkmail.com or call the office at 318-487-9894.
