If you are reading this right now, and you are not a member of our Roman Catholic Church, then we’d like to invite you: Come and see. That was Jesus’ response to Andrew’s question as to where Jesus was staying. (John 1:39) And that is our invitation to you if you’ve ever thought about being baptized as a Christian disciple of Jesus, or, if you’ve been baptized in another denomination, and you’ve thought about becoming a Roman Catholic. Our preparation and formation program, the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), is always ready to accept those inquiring into becoming fully initiated Catholic Christians. Email Deacon Pat McCusker at psmccusker.yahoo.com or call (318) 443-2145.
ADULT BAPTIZED CATHOLICS WHO NEED CONFIRMATION/COMMUNION The RCIA preparation program described above is also the means for baptized Catholics who are adults to finish their sacraments of initiation. Please call Deacon Pat McCusker at (318) 4432145 or email psmccusker.yahoo.com.
A MESSAGE FROM FR. JOE GOSSELIN, MS Thanks to your generosity some 14 children and elderly will receive a monthly gift from you which will give them hope in their situations which in all too many cases were desperate and hopeless. You have brightened their futures. You practiced charity: "I was hungry and you gave me to eat” and justice. The mothers of each child form groups of 25 that learn to make corporate decisions to shape the future of their neighborhoods; and give them a new found confidence and sense of worthiness to boot. In other words greater dignity. As for myself, I was truly blessed by so many of you who saw to my transportation and meals. I felt deeply your care and concern; my deepest thanks.
