The homilies at all Masses will be brief reflections followed by a period of extended silence. This will provide an opportunity for personal meditation as we prepare for the Lord’s coming.

A CHANGE IN MISSALETTES Next weekend, the two books currently used at Mass will be replaced by only one book. This way, we will only change out the books annually instead of quarterly, the cost is reduced, and you will only have one book to handle at Mass. Hopefully this won’t be an inconvenience.

The new 2015 lector workbooks for weekend readers are now available. Please stop in the sacristy before or after Mass and pick up your book.

SALT, a peer-led ministry of Sacred Heart Church in Pineville is hosting 3 opportunities for a two day retreat inviting teens to be grounded in their Catholic faith and become the “Salt of the Earth”. The weekends are: December 6-7, January 10-11, February 14-15. All retreats are at held at Maryhill. Call (318) 445-2497 ext. 14 for more information. The cost is $87 per student.

Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.

Ed will briefly present information about income/expenses for FYI 2014 as well as the proposed budget for FY 2015. Additionally, there will be bulletin inserts detailing both fiscal years. This information will also be on our web page along with the bulletin for that weekend.
