We will lead singing at the 4:00 p.m. Christmas Vigil Mass. Our final practice will be this Sunday, December 18 at 9:15 a.m. in the Church. All ages are invited. The only requirement is a desire to sing in praise of our God.

Christmas Memorial Flower Fund This fund enables us to decorate the Church during the Christmas season. The donors and those remembered will be listed in the bulletin the weekend of January 7-8, 2017. The suggested donation is $10. An envelope for this purpose is available in the pews and in your monthly packet. You may use one of your own envelopes, as well. Remember to include on the envelope the name(s) of those to be remembered/honored.
The Cenla Homeless Coalition The 11th grade confirmation students from OLPS are sponsoring a collection of jackets, pants, socks, hats, gloves, etc. for the homeless people in our area. A collection box is in the Narthex.
Eucharistic Angels The two angels on each side of the tabernacle were donated by Fr. Paul in memory of his niece Edee Rose Sima who died this year immediately before birth.

Sunday, December 25 8:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. There will be NO 5:30 p.m. Mass
When Christmas falls on a weekend, a common question becomes: how many times do we need to attend Mass? Since Christmas this year is on a Sunday, only one Mass is required to fulfill your obligation. (But, don’t forget, there are two envelopes, one for the Sunday and one for a Special Christmas Offering!) Two collections will be taken up. The first for your regular Sunday stewardship and the second for your Christmas offering and support for Church Vocations.
Christmas Open House
Please remember that there will be no 5:30 p.m. Mass on Christmas or New Years’ Day.
No matter what your present status in the Catholic Church, no matter what your current family and marital situation, no matter what your personal history, age, background, race, etc., you are invited, welcomed, loved and respected here.
