CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL FLOWER FUND

THANK YOU!!

This fund enables us to decorate the Church during the Christmas season. The donors and those to be remembered will be listed in the January 11, 2015 bulletin. The suggested donation is $10. An envelope for this purpose is in the pews, your monthly packet, or one of your own. Don’t forget to include on the envelope the name(s) of your loved one(s) to be remembered/honored.

To all those whose hard work and dedication ensured that our celebrations of the Lord’s Nativity were solemn and holy Masses. Our music, environment, and hospitality truly reflected the presence of the Lord.

MARDI GRAS PARADE COMMITTEE Sunday, December 28th In Cumella Hall after the 8:00AM Mass This meeting will be to discuss and plan ideas for our Church parish to participate in the annual Woodworth Mardi Gras Parade to be held in February. Once again, Diane Fuqua will chair this committee for us. All interested parishioners are invited to attend.

If you are celebrating a 25, 40, 50, 60 or more anniversary in 2014, we would like to honor you on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the 4:00PM Mass and present you with a Papal Blessing in honor of your marriage. If you would like to participate, please call or email the church office before September 1st.

S.A.L.T. RETREATS Registration is now open for the S.A.L.T. (Servants Actively Leading Teens) Retreats January 10-11 and February 14-15. All retreats are held at Maryhill for students in grades 9-12. The cost is $87 per student. Please include payment (check to Sacred Heart Church) with your application. SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH Reconciliation/Confession 30 minutes before every weekend Mass for 15 minutes. Baptism Celebrated during any weekend Mass or on Sunday afternoons. Contact the church office. Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.

STEWARDSHIP NOTES “Whatever you do,” says St. Paul to the Colossians, “. . . do it in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through Him.” And so it is that we offer our gifts in the Eucharist “through Him, with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit.”

NEW WEEKLY GOAL Our budget for FI2014-2015 reflects an annual collection total of $203,604. This amount divided by 52 (the number of weeks in a year) calculates to $3,916 per week. Achieving this amount every week insures that all the needed ministries, salaries and repairs can be accomplished for the year. We continue to pray and work for the success of our parish family.
