PROMPT SUCCOR MINISTRY FAIR Come see how you can serve others or be served by the many ministries of our parish family at the OLPS Ministry Fair next weekend, October 15-16, after ALL the Masses in the Madonna Complex. There are nearly fifty (50) ministries offered by OLPS, and each of them will have a display set up and an opportunity for you to sign up and do your part! Refreshments will be served.

Come to see the many opportunities your parish family has to offer and give your service in one of those areas. WWWWWWW SUNDAY EVENING LAGNIAPPE: Our Sunday afternoon Bible study resumes this Sunday at 4:15 P.M. in the Lourdes Room. The study, which will begin with the Acts of the Apostles, meets every week and ends by 5:15 P.M., in time for 5:30 P.M. Mass. Anyone may come at any time; you don’t have to attend every session to be welcome and to grow in your knowledge of Sacred Scripture. Sunday Morning Lagniappe continues to meet from 9:15 to 10:15 on Sunday mornings. – Steve Gauthier, coordinator OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR SCHOOL has opened its waiting list for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents who do not have any children at OLPS School and who wish to enroll their child(ren) for the next school year may call the school office at 487-1862. A pre-school student must be three years old by the first day of school to be eligible to attend. A prekindergarten student must be four years old by September 30 to be eligible to attend.

OLPS FLOWER MEMORIAL DRIVE: Thank you to all who have participated in the Flower Memorial Drive. We have a few additional dates that may be of interest to someone. ALL PARISHIONERS are invited to pray the rosary every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15 P.M. during the month of October in the newly refurbished Rosary Garden at Maryhill.

WOMEN’S ACTS is holding a bake sale next Sunday, Oct. 16 after the 9:00 A.M., 10:30 A.M. and the 5:30 P.M. Masses. All

baked items will be donated by the Women’s ACTS Team and proceeds will go to help with expenses on the upcoming retreat.

OLPS SCHOOL BULLDOG BYTES OLPS LIVING ROSARY: OLPS School will celebrate the tradition of The Living Rosary on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 1:00 P.M. OLPS students and faculty (grades 2-6) will gather in front of OLPS School and pray the rosary while walking down 21st Street and into OLPS church.

Exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will follow. All are invited to attend.

OLPS DINNER NITE: Dine-in or out at Texas Roadhouse this Tuesday, Oct. 11 and OLPS School will receive 20 percent of the proceeds. Texas Roadhouse Dinner Nite flyers are available at www.promptsuccor.org under the Forms and Letters link. Make sure to give the flyer to your server.

OLPS FALL FESTIVAL UPDATE: The OLPS Home & School Association is very pleased to announce that, once again, the OLPS FALL FESTIVAL was a huge success! Under the leadership of our Fall Festival Chairs, Valerie Daigle and Renee Hicks, and with the help of their planning committee, room mothers, parents, faculty, staff and students, the festival brought in over $60,000.00. The funds raised will be used to purchase new textbooks, technology for our classrooms, continuing education for our teachers and many more educational materials for our school. THANK YOU!!

‘CHILDREN OF HOPE’: The next First Friday holy hour will be Friday, November 4 from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. in church. The program includes Eucharistic Adoration, prayers, music, rosary and meditations for children especially in grades two through six.

OLPS PARISH SUPPERS are held every Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M. in Olinger Hall. The Knights of Columbus Council 8029 hosts and prepares the suppers. Meals are $4.00

per plate. Eat in or take out; you are encouraged to stay and eat in the Hall and visit with other members of our church family.

REGISTRATION FOR CATHOLIC HEART WORK CAMP (June 30-July 7, 2012) is now open for junior high and high school students. The high school camp, in Knoxville, TN, is open to students currently in eighth through twelfth grades.
