PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF PROM PT SUCCOR Patroness of our Parish and of the State of Louisiana Feast Day: January 8

O Mary, mother of God, who amid the tribulations of the world, watches over us and over the Church of Your Son, be to us and to the Church, truly, Our Lady of Prompt Succor; make haste to help us in all our necessities, that in this fleeting life You may be our succor, and obtain for us (here ask the particular favor you desire). Help us to gain life everlasting through the merits of Jesus, Your Son, Our Lord and Redeemer. Amen. THIS YEAR Jan. 8 falls on Sunday and is the celebration of the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, which takes liturgical precedence over the Solemnity of Our Lady. The Solemnity of Our Lady of Prompt Succor is therefore transferred this year to Monday, Jan. 9 and will be celebrated at our regular 6:30 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. Masses. Additionally, we will honor our Parish Patroness with an all-school Mass on Friday, Jan. 6 at 8:00 A.M. Everyone is welcome. – Father Dan WWWWWWW THE PRIESTS, SISTERS AND STAFF of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church and School would like to say thank you for your prayers, good wishes, cards, and gifts at Christmas. We appreciate your love and generosity and we pray that you and yours have a very Happy and Blessed New Year. – Father Dan ALTAR SOCIETY MEETING will be on Friday, Jan. 6 at 9:00 A.M. in the Lourdes Room.
