For all of you who have not yet noticed what an absolutely amazing year 2015 is shaping up to be, come out of your cave, hop on to the bandwagon and join the millions of people worldwide rejoicing in the great emergence of geek! We are talking about all the fantastic things happening all across the globe, from movies like Avengers 2, to cosplay events to super neat gadgets making not only themselves known, but also publicly available for purchase! Hooray for the era of tech! Of course, it is our

great pleasure to be reporting all of these neat things to you, our readers and fans and sharing what we are so passionate about with any and everybody. On a little side note, I hope all of you know how proud we are to be South african. We are becoming known worldwide, not only for our sport and tourism, but also now for our actors, comedians, artists, businessmen, and hopfully someday soon, our cosplayers, larpers and maybe, just maybe, someday soon some anime of our very own production. To that end, I would like to encourage all of our

local artists to give it your best, never give up, and make us proud! On that topic, we would like to sincerely apologise for not giving credit to Johan Botha, for the amazing DOTA poster he made for us for use in the DOTA comp we had planned, that kinda fell through. His work was still used, and as such still deserves credit. Thanks alot Johan! We hope to make use of your awesome talent again someday! Now, all of you go out there and be the geekiest geek you can be! Thats an order!

Released: Dec 9, 2013 to Aug 8 2014 Producers: Production I.G, Wit Studio Attack on Titan was the breakout hit of yesteryear but still hasn’t been forgotten as we wait for the next part of the story to be animated. The story left us on the cliff hanger of the century; with so much intensity it was no wonder that the high demand spurred the studio to release OVA episodes. Without too many spoilers the first of the OVAs examines one of the many unanswered questions that has stained itself in our minds. Where do the titans come from? Although, the rest of the episodes are a jumbled in timeline and tones of seriousness, it is enough to sate your hunger for more while we wait for season 2.

This anime had been sitting on my herd drive for some time, and I came close to deleting it many times but with being up to date with everything else, giving it a chance was basically all I could do. Reattempting to watch the first episode reminded me why I was put off it was an old anime in terms of production quality, and the first few minutes are slow. Shame on me. The ending plot twists harder than curly braids! It’s safe to assume that I binged the rest of the series effortlessly. A scifi fantasy epic that wastes no time playing with your emotions, a series I highly recommend.

Excel Saga Released: October 7 1999 Director(s): Shinichi Watanabe An anime that you will love to bits or hate with every shred of your soul, either way it has a way of being remembered. In summation it is utter nonsense. But it is much deeper than that, sometimes. A series that spends almost as much time making fun of itself as it does making fun of every other popular anime (super sentai[power rangers], gundam, fist of the north star), is worth the pain on your sides from all the laughter. Probably in my top 10 anime of all time for being nothing more than utter nonsense.

After the excitement that exploded from the awesomeness that came from the borderline ecchi Kill La Kill. Many people who got into discussions about the show heard whispers of a similar zany and kickass anime with a somewhat confusing title. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is anime for the history books that doesn’t hold back with its everunfolding mystery of who the people are and the origins of the giant robots they pilot. Packed with a host of deep and fun characters, it is definitely worth a binge watch.

Because of this those under the lethal limit of 300 but still over 100 must wear collars at all times to judge their psychopass and are killed if their passes get too high. This creates a sort of second class citizen that can only get the crudest jobs. For the most part they are happy to live this way as it gives them a safe haven from the war.

Once again we follow inspector Akane Tsunemori as she faces a new threat from beyond Japan’s borders. A terrorist cell supposedly lead by her old partner, Shinya Kogami, attacks Japan and she is sent to the war ridden Asian mainland to find out why. On one hand she must find Kogami and the guerrilla rebels to learn the truth; on the other, she must to discover Sibyl’s plan for a new paradise city built off the coast of the mainland. What this film comes down to is the tying up of loose ends from both the first and second season of the anime, we get to see the consequences of Akane’s actions, of how she allowed the Sibyl System to continue after season one and how she let Kogami get leading him to join the rebels. Is by no means a wrap up just simply a way to set things straight.

In an alternate anime universe, the asteroid Kumaria exploded in space and the fragments fell to Earth in the form of a meteor shower. The bears of the world were somehow affected by the resulting meteor shower, and began to attack the humans. In order to protect themselves, the humans built a “Wall of Severance” which separated them from the bears, and provided peace between the two species. Several years later, two bears disguise themselves as students (because anything is possible in anime) and enrol at the Arashigaoka Academy, where one of them takes an interest in a human girl. This 12 episode anime is definitely not for everyone, as there are many plot points and ideas that are just not logical and that many will find absurd. One of the better aspects of this story is how wonderful the themes are. At facevalue, this seems like an average shoujo anime, however, once you really get into it, you begin to realise that it is about the gay community and how they are perceived (the word yuri can be translated to “lesbian”). Without

getting too much into the story itself, I can safely say that this is one the better anime to watch, especially if you are openminded and can grasp the ideologies presented in the story. With a slow start, it takes some time for the characters to be expanded on, and by this point, I feel that many otaku will have stopped watching. Some of the characters are a little bland and their journeys take more time to occur than it should. That being said, there is still much fun and romance mixed in to make this a great anime to watch, provided you can get passed some of the more illogical plot points.

Tales of Zestiria: Doushi no Yoake Studio name: Bandai Namco Studios Director: Haruo Sotozaki Release date: JP December 30, 2014

Genre: Roleplaying Game counterpart: Tales of Zestiria

If you are a fan of the PS3 roleplaying game Tales of Zestiria, then you will ecstatic to know that a special TV anime version was released in December 2014. Titled Tales of Zestiria: Doushi no Yoake, the singleepisode anime is based upon the beginning of the game where Sorey and Mikleo discover the body of an unconscious woman in nearby ruins. They take her back to their village for rest and recuperation but are reprimanded for doing so as this woman is merely a normal human and cannot see the Divine. That night the village is attacked by Lunarre, a Hellion (a demon of sorts), following which, the woman, named Alisha leaves. Sorey realises that Lunarre was after Alisha and leaves to follow her, and Mikleo joins him, stating that they have been given the blessing of the village to do so. This TV special was created mostly as a promotion to the game, and therefore does not get into too much specifics. Being roughly 40 minutes or so in duration, leaves very little space for the indepth development of characters or storyline. If you are an avid gamer especially of Japanese roleplaying games, then give this special a watch, as it may just convince you to continue the story on console. However if you aren’t into gaming, then this single episode introduction may not be the best to watch as it will leave you with many questions which can only be answered through the completion of the game. The artwork of the anime is truly beautiful with some

stunning backdrops which complement the story quite well. The anime comes across as a prologue and thus fulfils its role as a game promotion quite well. It introduces us to the main storyline and the main characters, while also leaving much to the imagination (or in this case, much to the completion of the game). The sense of adventure and the possibility of watching these characters develop further will definitely have me keeping an eye out for a sequel to this TV special, and hopefully at some point a movie will be in the works. If you are fortunate enough to get your hands on the game, then definitely watch this TV special before embarking on your adventure. If not, then watch it anyway as it makes for some great anime entertainment either way.

All O taku ' s La s t I s s u e We start a new chapter in blogging Like NAG magazine, it is time for All Otaku to close a chapter in our book and begin a new one. That is why this will be a out last issue of All Otaku Magazine. When we began this project, none of us could have imagined how far it would have gotten. All Otaku has been running for four years now and although we have had our ups and our downs we have enjoyed almost every minute of it. And it is thanks to all of our readers that we have continued going at it. No matter how many times we have wanted to give up or how many times we have been let down it was our fans that kept us going. In the last two years we have reached new heights, attending multiple conventions including rAge, Kin足Con, Icon and Ucon. And although we have always been able to do everything we hope to do it has been an absolute

honour watching the community grow into something special over the last few years. We are very sad to see our little pet project go, but due to things becoming more accessible via the internet and real life responsibilities we are having to say good bye. I personally, am very proud of what we have been able to do and all of the time and effort that has been put into All Otaku by our team. Thank you to everyone for being so awesome and helping All Otaku reach its goals. While Steins;Gate is currently one of the most praised manga/anime series for its interconnectedness of characters and more WTF moments that you can handle. Back in the day 20th Century Boys was that; originally playful and lighthearted story that takes a turn when possibility becomes reality. A book written by childhood friends who become close through their shared experiences and their imagination about a dark future where all is lost holds the key to everything. Recommended if you are in a throwback kind of mood.

Fujio Although you might not know the name Daremon if you have been reading manga or watching anime long enough you are able to make out who are classic runners of manga from back in the day, if you have any recollection of a blue goofy looking biped animal then you know he is still a long standing representative of anime and manga today. Currently releasing an all new adventure where he and his entourage head into space to fight aliens and learn the ropes of being superheroes.

Starting off as a typical, oh we are both special but in a different kind of way like most supernatural manga, Beyond the Boundary centres around two types of supernatural beings. Youmu who are physical manifestations of the evils of mankind, and Spirit World Warriors who protect ordinary humans from the threat of Youmu. While everything seems clear cut and black and white from the get go, the fact is not all youmu are dangerous and Spirit World Warriors trade what remains of their enemies as currency. Twisted, zaney and not without its epic moments.

This mini sequel sets out to feed the fans who have been hooked, and wastes no time setting up a suspensive plot that you really shouldn’t miss out on.

Pokemon Adventures: Black & White The manga based on the Pokémon game series of the same name. The story follows Black (The protagonist) and his adventures through the Unova region. You don’t always get to meet your leading man (or boy) in a series first. No. The Pokéworld wants to show you what it’s all about. The pocket monsters – Pokémon, and that’s not all. Yes, welcome to the days where your pokédex resembles the shape of an older generation handheld game console and where you can purchase something that allows you to communicate with at least four people at the same time. I digressed. Let’s get to the part of getting to know your protagonists without saying too much In The beginning of the manga throws you right in the middle of a commercial. First you’ll meet White, the president of the BW Pokémon talent agency. She is cute, smart and –with how she seems to go about with her own business at her young age pretty talented. “I’ll beat the Pokémon

League!” Black dreams about…well…beating the Pokémon League and becoming the best there is. Black is loud, proud to be a trainer and –in his very own unique way a very bright, intelligent kid. As these two travel together, they’ll encounter Team Plasma and N who see the world with Pokémon much differently than those who are trainers and partners with their Pokémon. The Pokémon Black and White manga has already released Volume 20 on the 3rd of February 2015. The manga certainly holds some notable references whether you’re a gamer or a fan of the anime/manga. It’s definitely something you’d want to take a look at as a fan.

The Book of Life is not only a brightly lit animation revolving around a love triangle between three childhood friends, it is a deeply profound tale of life, death and the meaning of finding oneself. And yes it takes on many romantic cliches of modern life, the unlikely hero who is forced into the family business, the independent woman that all men want but none can tame and the seeming hero who is keeping a dark secret.

Joaquín joins the "army" and Manolo starts training to become a Bullfighter, however his real passion lies with music. Many years later Maria comes back home and Manolo's selfless act makes Maria fall in love with him all over again. Realising that he may lose, Xibalba concocts a plan and makes Manolo believe that Maria is dead, Manolo is traumatized and decides to take his own life to be with Maria in the Land of the Remembered.

The story begins at the center of the universe, otherwise known as Mexico, on the Day of the Dead where the townsfolk of San Angel have gathered to remember those who have passed. In doing so they allow their loved ones to stay in the Land of the Remembered, a paradise filled with never ending festivals and celebration ruled by La Muerte. However those who are forgotten are sent to The Land of the Forgotten, a dead wasteland ruled by Xibalba.

Upon arriving Manolo discovers that Maria is not dead and that he had been tricked allowing Xibalba to win the bet and take control of the Land of the Remembered. Now he and his bullfighting family must travel to the Land of the Forgotten to inform La Muerte of Xibalba’s deception and save San Angel from impending doom.

After seeing two boys, Manolo and Joaquín, competing for the affection of a young girl, Maria, La Muerte and Xibalba make a wager. La Muerte bets that Manolo will win Maria's hand and if she wins Xibalba cannot interfere in mortal affairs any longer; Xibalba bets on Joaquín, stating that if he wins he gets to rule the Land of the Remembered. To ensure that he wins Xibalba gives Joaquín the medal of Everlasting Life making him invincible.

Shortly after, Maria is sent to a boarding school in Europe for being too wild,

The film in and of itself is a masterpiece of colour, music and emotion brought together to express an old story; and I find that adding a different understanding on life and death really helps put things into perspective. Though for all of my praise the movie does have its downsides, despite all of her independance Maria still fits into the helpless princess role at times. She also often treats Joaquín like he is beneath her and resorts to marrying him out of obligation and last resortedness when he is actually trying to protect her which is a douche move in my opinion. All in all it's a great movie with a lot of heart.

If you are a fan of 80’s grunge films then you will be happy to see that a new Mad Max film has been released. For thirty years the franchise has been quiet, releasing nothing after Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome which was a huge hit in it’s day. Mad Max: Fury Road was directed by the founder of the original three movies, George Miller, which will likely end in this film having the same feel as its predecessors. We hope. Fury Road revolves around Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) who is being chased through a post apocalyptic Australia by a group of bandits called the War Boys, after they capture him The War Boys take Max to their citadel where they use him as a human blood bag. The citadel is run by Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays Byrne; who also played the villain Toecutter in the original "Max Max" film) who wears a mask to help him breath with damaged lungs. Immortan’s tyranny leads to the betrayal of his commander Imperator Furiosa who steals his wives and attempts to take them to her land. Immortan sends Nux after them and Max is brought along for the ride. Literally, they strap him to the hood of their car as they rise through the desert.

With Miller holding the reins on this movie we are sure to see many impressive stunts, high speed chases and lots of people dying, like Game of Thrones but more actiony. it is expected to be the action film of the year and as Miller has had almost three decades to prepare Mad Max: fury Road is sure to be something magnificent. IT'S TIME TO REBOOT

I am just going to say it. Why the hell do we need another reboot of a cult classic? Well to be honest I don’t really have a better answer than because it will make money, and make no mistake. It will make money. If there is one thing Hollywood has learned it’s that people will watch reboots out of curiosity or to boast that they have seen it and it was bad. I had hoped that when I did a little more digging into the subject that I would find some glimmering hope that this may actually be a good idea and that they would wrap this little parcel up once and for all, giving long term fans some closure but according to the wide web this is not the case. No, in fact they are hoping to open up the franchise to a whole new saga that will probably have us protesting outside of Alan Taylor’s new mansion when he decides to retire off the profits of the film. So what do we have in store for ourselves? Well

from what I can gather of the drips and drabs that have been released, our story starts with the Resistance on the verge of whipping Skynets ass, so John Connor sends Kyle Reese back in time to save his mother's life ensuring his existence in the future. But when Kyle arrives he discovers that the past has changed, Skynet had sent a Terminator back even further in time to kill Sarah Connor as a child, but the resistance sent a cyborg of their own to protect her. After the assassination of her parents Sarah is raised by the reprogrammed T 800 who trains her to be badass and psychopathic. Can you say convoluted? Faced with a new mission this band of misfits must defeat a T800, a T1000, and (plot twist) John Connor himself, who’s been transformed into a nanotechnological humancyborg hybrid, the T 3000, sent by Skynet to kill them.

Mortal Kombat Cup Qualifiers There are certain things you do not forget as a child, building blanket forts, lime milkshakes, camping with friends, and the Mortal Kombat theme song. And if you were anything like me then you will remember what it was like to sneak into the lounge early on a Saturday morning, set up the playstation, turning the sound down (so not to wake the parental units)

and smash peoples faces in one of the most violent games of the time. So you can understand why I am so excited that one of my all time favourite games has become an official e足sport in South Africa.

Round One. Fight!! SA competes in one of the biggest world championships. That’s right, you read it, with the launch of the new Mortal Kombat X game, SA is hosting it’s very own qualifiers for the Who’s Next? Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program. The program consists of three tournaments: The Fatal 8 Exhibition Tournament, the Mortal Kombat X ESL Pro League Tournament, and the Mortal Kombat Cup. While we are not competing in the Fatal 8 or ESL Pro League tournaments, locals do have a chance to challenge one another in the Mortal Kombat Cup Qualifiers which has been running, nationwide, since April. Players competed in the finals this weekend for a share in the R15 000 prize pool, a 20th Anniversary Playstation 4 and a flight to Paris to compete in the Mortal Kombat Cup during July. The winners for the finals were: 1st place: Vasudev “Taga Kahn” Stringer from Gauteng 2nd place: Kim “D1GamerKid” Petersen from Western Cape 3rd place: Zolani “Dr.Zol” Matsolo from Western Cape Taga Kahn will be flown to Paris to compete against some of the best in the world and with the performance he gave this Saturday I am sure that he will make us proud. Having been to the Cape Town qualifiers two weekends ago and to the finals this last weekend, I can say with certainty that this is definitely something I want to see more of.

Battle To The Death With Evolves New Arena Mode And it's completely free! Arena Mode is coming to Evolve™, the 4v1 shooter featuring four Hunters cooperatively fighting to take down a singleplayer controlled Monster, as a free update. The round ends when the Monster or the team of Hunters is eliminated, and the next round takes place in a new fixed arena on the same map. The first side to win two rounds is victorious in the bestofthree Arena Mode match.

Wildstar Soon to be Free toPlay

For those of you who love Widstar or who would love to play Wildstar we have some very good news. As of this year Wildstar will be freetoplay! No official date has been set yet but as the transition takes place, Carbine Studios states that they are committed to ensuring that WildStar will remain AAA, offering polished regular updates and a highquality experience. “At the beginning of 2015, we outlined key points of focus for WildStar to help make this great game even better, focusing heavily on player feedback and bringing meaningful changes,” said Mike Donatelli, product director, Carbine Studios. “We continue to deliver on those points and feel strongly that removing the subscription cost will give everyone who loves MMOs, or just wants to have an incredible gaming experience, a chance to try WildStar.” Once the game is completely freeto play, players will be able to reach level 50, acquire all Amps and abilities, and participate in all dungeons, raids,

adventures, shiphands, and PvP. The entirety of the game will be open for players to explore for free. Electronic Gaming Expo CAPE TOWN'S PREMIER ELECTRONICS & GAMING EXPO! My experience with the Electronic Gaming Expo began on Friday afternoon, after a morning of work it was great to finally be heading of into Cape Town City to the CTICC. It's always hard to know what to expect when coming to these kinds of events, many people have tried to host something like this in Cape Town but none of them have been quite able to host something as impressive EGE. Friday was a little quiet really, as many of the con goers had left by the time we had arrived but the stalls were up and we managed to chat to many of the venders before they were too busy for us on Saturday. Orena was very proud to announce their CS:GO tournament running all of Saturday and Zombie Gamer were busy with their Fifa, COD and MKX tournaments, which would prove to be huge success the following day. Most notable where the myrid of tech stands at the enterance of the venue and the massive PS4 stand of to the left of the hall near the stage where gamers and con goes would flock as the hall filled to max capacity

on Saturday. It was great to see companies like Logitech, MSI, Corsair and Cooler Master supporting a local event like this. Saturday morning arrived and I decided it was time to do a bit of make shift cosplay. I jumped into my reindeer onsie and off we went. On arrival we decide to grab some coffee at the cafe in the foyer, our grogginess had caught up to us and we walked through the CTICC past a long line of excitable con goers to hall three. I must say thank god for press passes, I was not looking forward to standing in line. We walked past the gate attendants and into one of the most exciting moments of my life. The hall we had seen almost empty the night before was now packed with people of every kind. Some of them familiar, most of them unknown as they moved about the hall visiting stalls, chatting, gaming or looking at demonstrations. It was finally happening, Cape Town has it's own smaller version of Rage that would eventually grow into something great and we were there to witness it.

Nag Magazine Says GoodBye to print

Soon print will be a guilty pleasure fewer can afford and the world of digital will offer more than paper can.

Another item on my list of things to remember as a kid is something that has been a part of every South African geeks life for as long as its have been around. For many, NAG magazine was the inspiration that pushed us into the careers we have today. A generation of South African geek writers, bloggers and gamers owe their passion to this magazine. Growing up, I always looked forward to seeing a brand new, sleek, NAG cover staring at me from the shelves of my local magazine shop, and in recent years I couldn’t help but notice how fewer and fewer stores stocked them.

But now the era of print is in it’s eve and sadly, NAG will no longer be available on the shelves of bookstores. Luckily for us they are not completely throwing in the towel. No, every one’s favourite magazine will be available online as a digital magazine, and no doubt it will have a lot more action packed content. However, despite the cancellation of NAG’s print issues, I do believe that NAG will have a lot more in stall for us than we could hope. This allows them more time to work on rAge, which I for one am looking forward to.

Nakashi Oroshu The Dragon King Has Returned The following is an interview with Nakashi Oroshu, a Cosplayer, one half of the Resonance Cosplay duo, artist, student and the founder of Con•ect. Con•ect is an event based in Port Elizabeth, focused on bringing fellow gamers, Cosplayers and fandom lovers together at this annual convention. Introduce yourself to everyone and tell them a little about yourself Well greetings, I’m Nakashi, currently residing in Cape Town and studying animation. I’m a musician as well as a digital artist, a huge medieval fantasy fan and a part time Dragon if time allows.

Cosplay was all but foreign when I started with my cosplay partner Saiyuki. We didn’t know anyone that did anything remotely the same for quite some time. But now one can see how fast and how large this community has grown. It’s incredibly encouraging and exciting cosplaying with groups of people, with so many more people to share knowledge with. For how long have you been expressing yourself in this art of Cosplaying? This would be my….6th year? I think, so quite a while. What would you say is the best thing about it? Feeling awesomely not yourself in some really cool outfit you chose to create. Who doesn’t want to be their favourite character? Not to mention, you can literally BE the art. How cool is that?

When did you start Cosplaying? I started cosplaying at the beginning of 2010 What did you think of Cosplaying before and after you first started?

Would you say that there are any downsides? Money, I suppose, it is an expensive hobby, and time (now that I’ve started studying) I’m sure there are a few more, but none that immediately stick out to me, I have yet to have too many downsides with cosplay. Do you make your own outfits and props or buy/have it made? I Make my own! Unless it consists of pieces I buy, then refashion for my various uses. I’ll occasionally wear a store bought item for more casual things. Would you say that you share a likeness or personality to the characters you Cosplay? I would think so. Sort of the only way to explain why I choose a specific character? I suppose in some way, every character I cosplay has a characteristic or personality similar to me, or traits that I wished I had in the first place. Name 5 of your favourite Cosplays. SMAUG, Robin, Fenris, Skyrim Thalmor and Hiccup If there is a show, movie or game you'd recommend to the Otaku community, what would it be? Well…it would have to be Dragon age…because I recommend it to anyone that’ll listen really. It is my alltime favourite game series.

If art was a weapon, what would be your most preferred weapon? So…I’m assuming. I could PAINT my weapon, and ‘poof’ instant real weapon? If so…I’d totally paint a dragon. If not, and it’s a painting utensil….I’d say…pallet Knife? Best Crime fighting & Villainous team? Psh, Batman and Robin (all of the above, but specifically Grayson) Favourite quote? Reach down into your heart, and you'll find many reasons to fight. Survival, Honour, Glory. But what about those who feel that it is their duty to protect the innocent? "Nakano Broadway", lined with many stores offering products for anime & comic maniacs, is a popular spot among the "Otaku", together with Akihabara. "Mandarake", which started off as a small store in one corner of this district, is well known not only for anime & comic goods, but also for rare items in a wide range of genres. The products sold include secondhand dojinshi, posters, autographed shikishi (paperboards), AV software, games, figures, and so on.

2nd 4th Floors of Nakano Broadway Building, about 5 minute's walk from the North Exit (Kitaguchi) of Nakano Station which is approx. 4 minutes from Shinjuku Station on the JR Chuo Line (Rapid Service).

On the side streets branching off from the shopping street are food alleys with various restaurants, including many izakaya (Japanese style pub/eatery), that serve all different kinds of food. Here one can experience the atmosphere of the bustling food crowd while taking a break from the shopping.

Sebastian Michaelis’ Fried Curry Bun In popular Culture *Karē pan man (“Curry bread man”) is one of the superheroes in Anpanman. He has a head made out of curry bread. Are you a fan of Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji, have you ever wanted to make something that comes from Sebastian’s own cookbook? Well, here’s a recipe that you could try. From Sebastian’s very own Cookbook Fried Curry Bun. As much kickass and lovely as you might consider him to be, Sebastian can cook classic European food as well as Japanese delight. So, just where do we start then? Personally, I would like to say –please make sure that you have plastic wrap, paper towels, bowls, cups, the following ingredients and…a kitchen.

Did you know? Curry Bread (karē pan) is a popular Japanese food. On occasion it is baked instead of deep fried, but deep frying is the most common method of cooking.

1 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled) 1 cup water 1 cup leftover curry 1 egg (lightly beaten) 1 tablespoon milk 1 cup panko bread crumbs/regular bread crumbs

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time:25 minutes Yield: 2 servings 1 teaspoon yeast ¼ cup water (lukewarm) 3 cups flour 2 tablespoons sugar

Got your ingredients at the ready? Well, if you’re sure then let’s get started then. It’s time to mix the yeast and the warm water into a bowl. Mix in the flour, the sugar, salt, butter and water, and form the dough. You’ll need to knead (see what I did there?) the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes. Are you sure that was lightly floured? Oh, I’m just checking to make sure.

Dip the formed bread into the egg wash and then dip them into the panko bread crumbs to cover. You don’t necessarily need to only use “panko” bread crumbs. If you don’t have panko, then what you can use as a substitute is normal bread crumbs. I know, it’s amazing, right? Best thing since sliced bread? Bread crumbs, baby…bread crumbs.

Have the dough placed in a greased bowl, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise to double its size. That should at least be about 6090 minutes. Knock the dough down (don’t kill the damn thing) and knead for 2 minutes. What you can do from there is cut the dough into 8 pieces and set it aside.

Now, cover the bread with plastic and let it rise while you heat the oil. Heat the oil in a pan. Place the bread into the oil and fry until it is golden brown on both sides. It should be 6090 seconds per side. Seconds, not minutes. Place the cooked curry bread onto some paper towels to drain the oil while it cools.

Alrighty then, mash the curry to form a paste. Mix those eggs and milk into a bowl. Roll out one of the pieces of dough into a 6 inch circle and place a spoonful of the curry in the center. Brush some of the egg wash around the edge of half of the dough and fold it over and then pinch the dough closed. Fold the pinch to one side.
