ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Cut, fold and glue to form a cube with people inside;
Part A
More than one object, a Project. A project born of a year of discussion and sharing by students from six schools in six different countries (Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, Poland, Sweden and Turkey), under the Comenius Program. This group of students proposed to design an object that would symbolize the use of reused, recycled, environmentally friendly and, simultaneously, would be a mobilizing factor for a new thinking on sustainability and environmental issues This proposal has the care and support of ACERT (Cultural Association of Tondela), Municipal Authorities, Interecycling and Signum, having been part of a broader project, currently under construction, aimed to reflect on our public spaces and how we live in society.
Part B
The Cube has thus become a site of ideas for solutions (to old and new problems) and concerns (about what we do and how we do), a place of convergence, collective thinking, based on the assumption that together we are always more than the sum of all the parties, the place of Gente3.
The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and their destination.
O futuro não é um qualquer lugar para onde estamos a ir mas um lugar que estamos a criar. Os caminhos não são para ser encontrados, mas sim construídos. E a actividade de os fazer muda o criador e o seu destino.
