ASP Photography delivers professional senior formal photographs to students, parents and teachers at high schools in Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Childers and beyond. The business, previously known as Ashley Smith Photography, has been serving the Fraser Coast region and hinterland since 2000. ASP’s formal service includes: • One or two mobile studios set up in formal venues for studio style photography with lights and backdrop choices of scenic and formal. • Professional photographer per studio and usher. • Individual, couple, family and group photos. • Print packages and online buying options. • Twenty (20) digital images offered for school magazine free of charge. • No charge to the school, except travel and accommodation if outside the Fraser Coast.
School information Senior students can book student/ couple and family sittings in ASP’s mobile studios during the first half of their evening simply by ordering discount print packages (see opposite page) using the envelopes provided. As students return their completed envelopes, with payments, your event co-ordinator books the sittings. Tear-off slips serve as student receipts and sitting time reminders. FIVE (5) minutes are allowed per booking for individual students and couples, and/or TEN (10) minutes if parents/families are also being photographed. At formals where parents leave early, family sittings should be booked early. Some couples will require two sittings, for example if a girl and her formal partner are both students and each has two families wanting photos (girl with mum’s partner/girl with dad’s partner and boy with mum’s partner and boy with dad’s partner, plus siblings), the students should book seperate sittings. If a student wants photos in two studios for the different settings, he/she
is welcome to order a second package and book a second sitting. ASP Photography collects the envelopes and booking sheets about a week before the formal. Free postage applies to all pre-ordered packages. Group sittings can be booked after student/couple/family photos are complete. Please allow FIFTEEN (15) minutes for large groups. Group photos are available for purchase on ASP Photography’s website a week after the event, however, at least one photo per group must be pre-ordered before a group sitting can be booked. A group is three or more people other than family, e.g. three or more students and partners, classes and house groups. Additional packages and single prints are available for purchase on ASP’s website a week after your formal at normal studio prices, plus postage. At formals where parents stay throughout the evening, requests for other family combinations can be accommodated after all booked sittings are complete, if time allows.
TIMELINE March/April: Secure your formal date with a confirmed (signed) booking. Wall posters and school newsletter advertisements on disk are delivered after booking. One month before: Booking sheets and student information flyers and envelopes delivered. One week before: Completed envelopes with payments and booking sheets collected. On the day: Studio set-ups start 2pm; sittings start 5.30pm with individual students, couples and families first; groups and any other requests after dinner as time allows. Photographers stay as long as photos are being requested. One week after: Photos displayed on the ASP Photography website. Three weeks after: Final date for packages to arrive at the students’ postal addresses. Shipping on further orders is also three weeks, excluding ASP Photography’s festive season break from mid-December to mid-January.
