The 2015 Ideal Home The 2015 Ideal Home is located in The Preserve in Hoover at 451 Renaissance Drive and is built by 2015 GBAHB President Rusty Fowler of Fowler Custom Homes, Inc. The Ideal Home features the latest and greatest in design trends, home technology, and more. It will be open to the public during the Parade. Rusty and Vicki of Fowler Custom Homes built the house from a Southern Living house plan created by architect Chuck Frusterio. The Fowlers are Southern Living custom homebuilders for the Birmingham metro. This Southern-style home has a wrap-around porch. One exterior innovation is the use of James Hardy Siding Color Plus, a siding that comes with the paint already applied. There is a master bedroom and a second bedroom on the main floor; the second bedroom has become increasingly popular for use as a nursery or a bedroom for elderly parents. Quality high-end finishes are used throughout this showcase home. Showcase sponsors and vendors include Wolf
and Subzero appliances in the kitchen and Kohler plumbing throughout the home.
