CROCHET CROCHET Simple Patterns

About the Author

Hi! I’m April.

This is the first book I have written. I wrote this book so you can find simple and fun patterns easily without having to surf the internet trying tutorials and paying for patterns separately. I started crocheting about a year and a half ago, and have loved it ever since, so I decided to make a book on it!

And please leave a positive review on Amazon or Etsy, that’s how independent authors books like mine get noticed !

Where to Buy?

If you don’t know where to buy wool and crochet hooks, I would suggest Amazon, The Range or Walmart.

Amazon is accessible in most countries and has a broad selection of different colours and sizes, of both crochet hooks and wool. While the Range has great prices for wool and crochet hooks, it doesn’t have a very big selection. Depending on your location, Walmart could be a good place to buy crochet essentials.

But overall I would say Amazon is the best place to buy wool.

How to Crochet a Blanket

This is how you make a decent sized soft blanket. I found this relatively easy and it would be a good project for a beginner.

First you are going to chain 100, making sure to keep the same tension the whole time, or some parts will be too tight or too loose. This will be the width.

Next you are going to chain two up.

After you have chained two up, you will count three chain stitches from your hook, in the third one from your hook, Dc (double crochet) into it .

Continue to Double Crochet into all 99 chain stitches remaining.

Once you have finished that row, you are now going to continue to chain two up at the end of each row and then Double Crochet into all 100 stitches. Repeat this for 70 rows.

When you are done, cut the yarn leaving about 2 inches from your crochet hook.

Next, take your crochet hook out of the slipknot and then, thread the 2 inch piece of the wool through the slipknot and then pull the 2 inch piece of wool until it has tightened. Finally, cut the end of the wool off. And You’re Done!
