“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
BeHold the Lamb of God !
“John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (Joh 1:20)
Sometimes we just need to stop everything else and focus on the only truly important thing – HIM! We need to be reminded that Jesus is truly the “Lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world for us.” As John Baptist said here, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the SIN of the world!” The SIN that reaches back to the Garden of Eden where man lost his way. That time when and where the devil, satan became the god of this world and all the torment that has ensued.
BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD! I encourage everyone to meditate upon Him and what He has done! Mediate upon on His ultimate and complete sacrifice – His Finished Work! Rejoice in the relationship that you have and is available with and in Him. We shall behold Him! We do behold Him! We are beholding Him!
God’s wrath toward sinners is real. We know that to be true because of what John said about Jesus here. And, John didn’t just say it. He proclaimed it. Look! See! Behold! Jesus takes away sin. That’s what
the heart of God’s compassion is about. “People are under God’s righteous wrath, so with a sense of urgency, we meet their spiritual and physical needs.” Because we believe that without Christ, sinners will meet a just punishment, we must go and make known the best of all news: Jesus takes away the sin of the world.
The Lamb first came in great humility of Spirit as the ultimate Sacrifice. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. Isaiah 53:7 And the Lamb is coming again in power and majesty, great glory and victory.. and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful. Rev.17:14
I hope your heart is refreshed in this amazing news today. Jesus takes away the sin of the world!
Yahshua (Jesus) was born to die. His sacrificial blood purchased and redeemed His holy bride. This is the greatest love story that ever was and will ever be, filling all of heaven and the entire universe with eternal shouts of halleluYAH!

Jesus the supreme sacrifice. Jesus received blasphemous false accusations from the world He was denied, abandoned, mocked, was arrested and bound. He was rejected by his own hometown and was asked deceitful questions. He was ridiculed by his own family members, he was blindfolded, beaten Struck with blows, was arrested, wounded, bruised unaccompanied by his accusers He was falsely charged, chastised, endured stripes, oppressed, led to the slaughter Cut off from the land of the living, he was abused by the roman soldiers He was
scourged, put on a crown of thorns on his head, a reed in His right hand Him on the head with the reed. The soldiers striped him and divided His garments, nailed on the cross He bore his own cross and was crucified. The chief priests with the scribes mocked and sneered at him.
He is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. He redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us He shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners. The sacrifice of animals could never take away our sins Jesus offered the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world.
By nature we are prone to sin and our actions prove it. What is the solution? Not the old covenant sacrifices—they only exposed sin—and in so doing pointed forward to the only solution, namely the better sacrifice of Jesus. The writer of Hebrews now describes this superior sacrifice according to its need, provision and effectiveness.
“For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” (Heb 10:1-4).
The old covenant sacrifices were ordained by God and in force for hundreds of years. How can they be seen as inferior? The answer is that the very nature of the old covenant sacrifices made them inferior. The Law of Moses was only “a shadow of the good things that are coming” and not the reality. The sacrificial system of the Law was a type or picture of the sacrifice Jesus would make for us. This meant that the old covenant system was temporary—it could accomplish nothing permanent. The very repetition of the sacrifices day after day, and the Day of Atonement year after year, pointed out the entire system’s inherent weakness.
God honored Abel's blood sacrifice, but Cain's substitution He rejected. This angered Cain so he slew his brother, because his brother's gift God accepted. Jeremiah told the Israelites that from the wrath of God they could not hide. So they put him in jail and then a well, and then took him to Egypt where he died.
James watched Jesus bring a dead girl back to life, and he saw Moses and Elijah talk to our Lord. Later when James told everyone what he had seen, he was arrested and then slain with a sword. Stephen witnessed for the Lord Jesus Christ regardless of what the Church Council said. So the Council bound him and condemned him and threw stones at him until he was dead. Following God is sometimes easy, and sometimes the result is not so nice. If you are questioned about your faith, are you willing to make the supreme sacrifice?

“And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:14-20.
