Design Direction:
To explore, understand and demonstrate broader uses of type and image by utilising collaboration with others internally and externally to create original and innovative design that is both appropriate and effective in relation to its context.
Print, Art Direction, Promotional, Installation, Collaboration.
Work to be driven by a conceptual nature that is executed appropriately in terms of its visual aesthetics and physical form.

As well as these more general themes I am also interested by the relationship between design, technological and ideological advancements, and how we as human beings interact and are affected in different ways by design. 01

Rationale: Create the visual brand for the independent film DRIP, which includes but is not limited to the main visual image for the film, any supporting visuals, the press kit and screener copy packaging, and the further promotion of the film.
Rationale: To create a series of print based outcomes that use experimentation as a stimulus, with the intention of exhibiting and selling at the Leeds Print Festival 2014. These prints will be based around a theme of ‘the 5 sense’ to create an anchor for the prints themselves to work around whilst still allowing room for creative freedom, expression and experimentation.

Rationale: Create and produce a promotional campaign for LIFF28 to persuade visitors both local and from further afield to attend and understand the event. Work should demonstrate an understanding of the events context and background as well as the audience it is involved with.

Rationale: Propose an interactive installation to promote Beacons Festival 2014.

Steinway Hall Showcase(LCM)

Rationale: LCM is a conservatoire with All-Steinway status. Steinway is an internationally recognised brand of piano. LCM students are handpicked through out the year to perform in the Steinway showcase. The showcase that will be advertised is a Spring Classical showcase.
Rationale: Personal promotion for the alias Burden&Franc. Art directed shoot based around the copy ‘Fresh out of University. Ready for New Briefs’. Needs careful consideration in terms of methods of distribution.
24 Hour Brief

Rationale: External collaboration with Jon Bland of Music. Design experiment to see what can be accomplished in a 24 hour period. Possible progression to documentation and exhibition of found results.
