From the Editor
Every spring the Tucson bead show marks the beginning of our industry’s year. At Starman, our preparation for the next year begins at the conclusion of the show. The feedback we receive when conversing with customers, friends and business associates affects every facet of our new product lines. We constantly work to improve not only our service and efficiency but also our bead selection. We take any feedback that we receive very seriously, and it’s reflected in the changes we make to our products. With this booklet we are proud to share our new and innovative products for 2013.
Shapes - Beads with two holes are the latest design concept taking the industry by storm. There are many varieties available on the market, and the most important features our customers look for are quality, color and compatibility. We’re introducing the CzechMates Two-hole beading system. Bead confidently knowing that CzechMates work together perfectly without bunching, warping or puckering because of their uniform holespacing and size. We have expanded our selection this year to include our exclusive CzechMates Lentil and CzechMates Brick shapes. When used along with our popular CzechMates Tile and Dagger beads, they become the building blocks of modern beading. Due to the popularity of our Rose Petal bead we’ve created a miniaturized version, the 8/7mm Rose Petal. This versatile shape creates not only flowers but also fringe, ruffles and accents that match the new 14/13mm colors.
Color - At Starman we strive to carry a wide variety of glass cane so that bead stores can expand their color selection. This year we are happy to announce the addition of Viridian, a trending shade of emerald, to our most popular fire polish and pressed bead categories. “Go Green” is not only a slogan about being earth friendly, it’s also a celebration of Pantone’s 2013 Color of the Year! Style - This year we are honored to have the pleasure of working with our new design team, the Starman Trendsetters. These talented artists have been busy working with our prototype beads in order to help bead stores inspire and instruct their customers on how to use these innovative new shapes.
