Interview with Tim Cahill Tim Cahill was born on the 6th of December 1979. He is a professional soccer player and plays for the Australian national team, the Socceroo’s. Tim Cahill has played for 8 different clubs, including national teams. Our kid reporter, Kristian Mihos, caught up with Cahill earlier this week and asked some very interesting questions.

KM: How did it feel to kick the first goal for Australia in the World Cup?
TC: Well, I felt happy because I made history for Australia in the World Cup. KM: Do you do your soccer punch every time you score a goal? TC: Well, I do it most of the time. KM: How did it feel to be nominated for the Asian Footballer of the Year? TC: it felt fantastic. I never thought I would make an achievement like this. KM: Do you have kids? TC: Yes I do, two sons, Kyah and Shae and one daughter, Sienna. KM: Do you have brothers or sisters? TC: I have 1 brother, Chris. KM: How do you feel about having the opportunity to play for Australia? TC: Well, playing for Australia has always been my dream, so I would say I was extremely happy getting the chance to play for the Socceroo’s.
KM: What was it like, being the leading scorer for Everton? TC: It felt great, and so did playing for a new side. KM: How much longer will you play soccer? TC: I will play for as long as I can. KM: Why did you go play for Everton? TC: Well, they transferred me for $1.8million so I said, “That’s a great offer!” KM: Did you like AFL before you played soccer? TC: Well, I liked both but I was more successful with soccer. KM: THANKS TIM FOR YOUR TIME!
