Interview with Francis Welsh (Creation of the day.) Francis Welsh is an amazing English artist. He has made multiple creations of the day, but his most famous ‘Bill’ What inspired you to draw bill? Well, I was always looking for something to draw then when I saw an Otter in Canada I saw what the missing piece was. What type of animal is Bill? He is a cute little Otter sir. Why does ‘Bill’ look like our own ‘Sloth’? Well I guess by coincidence, although the pants where too good to miss. How long did it take you to come up with Bill? Well A few weeks. Why is Bill’s nose so big! Sir it is an important feature I think it makes him look really cool. Where did you learn to draw like that? Well I started to write but then I started drawing. All of a sudden there was a big war and I lost my home. I started drawing for money but the cost was very low. There was no way I was going to get a new home so I ran away to England. I was only 8 years old sir. It was a far trip but it was worth it. I started drawing my house and then I started building. It took 3 years and I had made a masterpiece. My house was on the grass next to the sea. It is a beautiful location. Who inspired you to start drawing? Well that is an easy question sir. I will never forget him oh I mean her it was Tonic Riaplano. Beautiful lady too. She had beautiful hair and cherry lips and her eyes Aaahhhh they make me faint. Last night I had a dream about her. What was your first drawing? Well sir, it is the drawing of ‘Tribeca’ it is in my bedroom still. I can remember my Dad and Mum gave me my very own pencil. It feels like only yesterday they hugged and kissed me goodnight and said you made to be something great. Where were you born? I was born in Liverpool and that is a bad and horrid place with the war. What school do you go to? I go to the Liverpool Primary I am way above abridge in all of my subjects and skipped grade 5 and I’m in year 6 this year. Thanks for your time Francis and good luck for the rest of your school years.
