Letter from the CEO Dear Educators, On behalf of Global Classroom, Inc. I’d like to introduce you to our full course catalog for this coming summer. It’s my pleasure to offer you and your colleagues the highest quality online courses offered at a low cost with your choice of credit options. We’ve been providing online courses for teacher professional development for a few short years. But in that span of time, Global Classroom has grown very quickly. Our catalog now includes over 70 online courses focused on the technologies, subject areas and disciplines that are relevant to education today, and tomorrow! Whether you are looking to hone your leadership skills, to delve into current topics in special education, to complete your certificate for ESL, or are looking to pick up a nifty new classroom technology skill like podcasting, our catalog has something for you. Our team prides itself in the high quality instruction and content we offer. But you don’t have to take our word for it - just ask our former students. Over 200 courses have been delivered since the start of the year and here’s what students have to say about their experience: The vast majority of our students return to take more than one course from us, which we attribute to our hard work, high quality content and resources and great facilitators.

Would you take another course through GlobalClassroom?

Our courses are convenient, flexible and provide interaction with students and faculty from around the country. Even if it’s your first online course, I guarantee that you’ll enjoy how engaging and interactive our courses are. On top of it all, a growing number of courses in our catalog are now offered with a graduate credit option. So if you’re looking to start or finish up a Masters with a few electives, or just need some graduate credit hours for your re-licensure, look no further. Even if you don’t find a course to take, I encourage you to visit us online and take advantage of our free resources. You’ll soon realize why Global Classroom is “virtually the best place to learn”. Sincerely,

Burr A. Warne, CEO

Course Title: Fundamentals of Nutrition Course Instructor: Professor Lyndon Carew Ph.D. and Professor Deborah K. Paradis Course Fees: Course Duration: Credits: 2 Description: The course addresses the scientific principles of classic nutrition focusing on the nutrients. This is taught as a course in Comparative Nutrition of Mammals, not just a course in Human Nutrition or Animal Nutrition, but both. After many years of experience, we found it appropriate to combine introductory courses in human nutrition, animal nutrition, and basic nutrition into one. Since all mammals require a similar array of nutrients (for example, you, cats, dogs, cows, sheep, gorillas, even chickens, etc., all need vitamin A for much the same functions), there was no reason to separate them. Everyone taking this course, is, of course, interested in their own nutrition, even if they are going to work on farms or zoos. And all taking this course will find it interesting to learn a little about other mammals for at least a couple of reasons. Course Title: Food Safety Course Instructor: Professor Stephen Pintauro, Ph. D. Course Fees: Course Duration: Credits: 3 Description: The objective of this course is to have students gain a thourough understanding of the extent, applicability, and flexibility of United States food laws and regulations, and their relationships to the safety of the US food supply. Over the course of the semester, students will learn the structure of the federal government, how laws and regulations are enacted and enfoced, and how the food safety decisionmaking process works within the framework of the associated federal laws and regulations.
