Isn’t That Something . . . The Netherlands . . . The Worst Polluting Nation on Earth . . .?
This is what happens when we put Context into Numbers, Beyond simple totals This Paper, Presents Data, in This Way, for the First Time . . . Ever! Putting Context into Raw Data, Seven of the Eleven Worst Polluters are European Countries. Canada, Australia and Brazil, are often singled-out by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as Laggards on the Environmental Front, while they produce one One-Hundredth of the pollution of The Netherlands and One-Eightieth of either Germany or England. Why have we NEVER been told?? . . . The European Union has 27 votes at the United Nations, they lead the charge Defining the Actions and Goals of The IPCC at the United Nations. Seven European countries are members of the G-20 who produce 80% of Global GDP. By extension, they are responsible for 80% of Global Pollution. Seven European Countries, Among the G-20 nations, have very High Population Density, among the Worst Records in Deforestation, Protecting Natural Habitat or CO2 Sequestration (removed by forests) and among the Highest CO2 Production Per Square Kilometer. 7 of the worst 11 . . . with Cap and Trade . . . We follow Their Lead . . .?? PAGE 2
It is Scandalous, on the World Stage, that these 7 European Nations are held up as Shining Examples of how to clean up the Environment. All 7 countries would fit inside the USA or China almost 5 times yet they Pollute at Double the rate of either China or the USA - per sq. km . . . We just have never been told . . .

This chart presents the area of each country covered by trees. Forests are the Best long-term storage our Planet has for lowering CO2 in the Environment. This is known as Sequestration. When trees are turned into lumber for construction, the CO2 is stored again for another 50 or 100 years. Remaining a component of that Building. During Roman Times 80% of Europe was Forested. Small Tribes cut clearings in the Forests to grow crops and raise livestock. In the Middle Ages people cut down more and more of the forests for Fuel, Agriculture, Fortifications, Castles and Towns. Huge expanses of the Old Forests were cut down to build Cities and Ships during the Age of Exploration. That is when Columbus and Cortez discovered the New World. About 75% of the original mixed Forests of Central Europe have long been lost. Only 6.3% of the remaining Forests are under protection. 95% of these forests are smaller than 10 sq. km. More trees are being planted today. They tend to be fast growing Scots Pine plantations. These new Forests can only sustain a small number of Plant and Animal Species. The Endemic Species have long since been forced out. Oh, Bio-Fuels from cutting down and burning what’s left of the Forests that’s OK . . . ! ? ?
There is Legal Protection in many areas of Europe, yet Logging is a Common Practice in many European National Parks. Clear Cutting Large Tracts of land, then reforested with mono-culture, fast-growing conifer. Another threat to Plant and Animal life. Forest habitats are split by Highways and Railroads, creating barriers for wildlife. Hunting takes place in protected areas. Air, Soil and Water Pollution threatens the European Deciduous Forest. PAGE 3
For many Environmentally Oriented people, the subject of Deforestation in Third World Countries like Brazil, Columbia, Indonesia, Malasia, Cambodia, Vietnam or African Countries produces uncontrollable rage. Especially in European Political and Environmental circles. What is done to these Forests in the name of Progress is shameful. Vast tracts of Virgin Forest are cut down and sold for lumber. Crops are planted with no consideration for the Natural Vegetation or the Indigenous Wildlife or the Indigenous Peoples who survive in these Forests. Furthermore, many of these Plantations is for Palm Oil or Soybeans to be exported - To Europe to be burned as Biomass. Ironic isn’t it, saving the planet in one part of the World leads to destruction in another! Then, to add insult to injury . . . much of the lumber cut down from deforestation ends up in the hands of, you guessed it . . . European Lumber Brokers, through intermediary countries. How do you think those magnificent Galleries and Castles get Retrofitted without the ‘Exotic Hardwoods’ from Ancient Third World Forests? I guess nobody ever asks?? . . . Hypocrisy at every turn! Does this warrant celebration among Environmentalists?? So why stop at that? Why not look at what has been done to those Old Forests in European Countries as well? Why not look at what Has Been Done to the Forests of France or Germany or England or the Netherlands? Where are the Environmentalists? Who is looking at these Western Nations and their History of Deforestation? Is it because there aren’t enough “Cute Little Monkeys” to pull at your heart strings? Are European Bisson or European Eagles not Cute enough for Environmentalist Propaganda? Is their Natural Habitat not important enough for consideration? . . . Context ALWAYS seems missing among The Finger Pointers . . .!

These seven (7) European Nations are about 2 million sq.km. They would fit into Canada’s 4 million sq. km. of forest twice. These 7 Countries have by far the worst Global Record Preserving Wild Animal Habitat or Natural Forests. All the European Nations in the G20 have less than 35% forest area. The UK and the Netherlands less than 15%. Another Scandal brought to us by the ‘Leaders’ in the Environmentalist Camp . . . Europe. Please Greta, and all the rest of you Europeans, I know you Mean Well, but go home and do your homework before you tell other Nations of the World how to clean up their Yards. First, recognize that Europe’s G- 20 Countries Combined, pollute at a Rate that is Double that of either China or the USA, Per Square Kilometer . . . Canada has nothing to fear unless of course we let our Population Density match that of The Netherlands . . .
Then Canada, The USA or China would number . . . 5 Billion People . . . Each . . . Context! POPULATION PER SQUARE KILOMETER IN EACH COUNTRY (POPULATION DENSITY) Rank

Isn’t that something . . . 5 European Countries More Densely Populated than China?
Again, Context! Population Density when comparing Pollution Statistics is THE Most Consequential Data Point! If two people are living in a ‘Pup Tent’ and are cooking their food over an open fire in the middle of that tent, the Pollution would be unbearable. Meanwhile, the 25 people next door in a 10,000 square foot long-house with a built-in-place chimney – They have the Pollution problem in a more Manageable and Controlled situation. Let’s begin to put Population Density in context with relevance . . . look at the example above . . . PAGE 5
All of this Dialogue is to put some Real Meat on the Bones of our Global Environmental Crusades. If you are going to stand up and Preach the Sermon from Upon High . . . Then you better Practice what you Preach! This discussion all started when some French Dignitary, on behalf of the United Nations, came to Canada to Denounce Canada’s failure to Protect its Boreal Forests . . . I kid you not! A Dignitary from a country who has already cut down 70 % of its own Boreal Forests, scolding a Country like Canada, who’s forests could swallow all 7 European G-20 countries TWICE . . . This is the Ultimate in Hypocrisy! Canada, a country with almost 4 million Square Kilometers of Naturel Forests and enough ‘Protected Forests’ to swallow much of France. Furthermore, the Much celebrated ‘Cap and Trade’ Program that ‘Leads the World’ in environmental planning allows corporations to buy credits to compensate for their Excess pollution. One such little known segment is giving ‘Credit’ for planting trees on ‘existing’ Farm Land. Returning that land to its Natural State . . . Then, what Vulture Capitalists discovered, you can buy Farm Land Anywhere in in the World, Plant Trees, warranty they will not be cut down for 100 years. Then, you have ‘Credits’ to sell to Excessive Polluters back in Europe $$$$ This is Happening in British Colombia, Canada, where we have a Protected, Agricultural Land Reserve! Worst of all, it looks like where the Polluter bought the ‘Credit’ . . . Planted those Trees at Home . . .
No wonder the European ‘Successes’ look brighter and brighter every day . . . Such a Scam . . . Everybody let a 16-year-old Swedish Environmental Activist, Greta Thunberg, with absolutely no Scientific Credentials take over the Environmentalist Narrative. She is Passionate, Convincing and Well Versed in the ‘Scripted Narrative’ espoused by her Politically Motivated charges in the European Environmental Movement. With Greta leading the way, among her supporters, massive change is under way in Europe. Never the less, under European Cap and Trade, the Worst European Pollution has just been moved to other Countries . . .
‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ . . . The Planet gets more polluted . . . some place else . . .!!
