Dr. John Cardarelli, President, Health Physics Society jcardarelli@hps.org Dr. Cardarelli, We, the undersigned members of Scientists for Accurate Radiation Information (SARI) and the XLNT Foundation would like to commend your initiative in putting together the outstanding 22-Episode Series exposing the History of the Linear No-Threshold (LNT) Model. We appreciate the considerable effort and thought that you, Dr. Hamrick and Dr. Calabrese exerted in putting together the Series. It concisely explores and explains how we arrived where we are today and exposed the scientific misconduct that serve as the basis of national and international regulation. These flaws have contributed to the origin of the LNT Model, the counter-productive ALARA philosophy and the resulting radiophobia that these instill in people. We highly appreciate that this Series has received mostly positive feedback and that, more importantly, it has reached a very wide audience. This widespread understanding will be necessary to replace the LNT with sound science. Count on us to support you in any way we can, since our end objective is the same! Signed, Mark L.
