Comparing Kiev to Philadelphia John Shanahan January 23, 2024 We get reports about Putin’s war in Ukraine almost every night on TV. What about Philadelphia and other American cities? See a short video comparing Kiev with Philadelphia What are elected officials doing about disgraceful/criminal situations in the United States? - Arguing about raising debt ceilings every three to six months for forty four years - from 1 trillion to 34 trillion dollars - the largest debt in the world? - Sending Climate Change Czar, John Kerry, to the World Economic Forum and the UN IPCC COP Conferences to lecture poorer countries and make deals with countries to close their coal mines and borrow money for wind farms? Two reasons why we focus on Kerry and not other devils: 1) He is the front man for a lot of officials and agencies in Washington. 2) He is the front man for many "agreements" signed between representatives of the EU, France, UK, Germany, and USA on one side and corrupt leaders of poorer nations to close their coal mines and take bribe loans to build wind farms. Much of the loans goes into the pockets of cronies in those countries. Bill Mckibben (350.org), Thomas Cochran (Natural Resources Defense Council, NRDC), Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum, WEF), Hans Joachim Shellnhuber (Potsdam Institute for Climate Research) are just as evil as John Kerry. In many ways, they are worse. 1
They lead organizations that seduce millions in the gullible public to donate to these horrible causes.
- Unaccountable bureaucrats write regulations that force the cut back on use of coal, oil and natural gas that created the modern world. Those bureaucrats demand support for wind and solar energy that can't even do all the things needed to replace themselves? - Endless fighting between Democrats and Republicans instead of working together to get things done? - Watching grade schools, high schools and universities descend to lower and lower rankings in quality of education? - Running for reelection with few real accomplishments? - Jetting around the globe pretending America will solve the problems of the world? Remember the long war and sudden exit from Afghanistan! Is America as bad as in the video? Are Ukrainians fighting harder for a better world? Should Americans: 1) Oppose the expansion schemes of Putin and Xi? After Afghanistan, Iran and Syria, can we? 2) Establish order, safety and dignity in their cities? With the history of San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia, can we? 3) Get back to the real mission of schools and universities? 4) Make borders secure and the process for applying for visas and citizenship legitimate? Switzerland is an excellent example. 2
5) Require valid identification for all voters? Documentation is required to get on a commercial plane, buy alcohol, or see a doctor under a health insurance plan. Electing the president of the United States is more important than many activities already requiring identification. 6) Do something with politicians who stick with the same failed ways as for the last forty years in the White House and Congress? 7) Do something with politicians who don’t work for world peace but rather for endless conflicts?
Homeless street people in Philadelphia are like homeless people across America and parts of Europe. Who is working more for a better world, the people of Ukraine or self serving elected officials in the USA and Europe?
