Women in Nuclear - Global (climate change)

We are a non-profit organization of women working professionally in various areas of nuclear energy and radiation applications, legally registered in Austria.
With over 35.000 members, over 60 chapters in more than 145 countries, we are committed to promote an evidence-based dialogue with the public to raise awareness about the essential contributions of the peaceful uses of nuclear technologies to address 3 crucial challenges: Climate Change, Gender Equality and the attraction of Young Talents.
Since its foundation in 1992, WiN Global focused on environmental sustainability, public safety and the improvement of quality of life. In this regard, our organization is committed to promoting the collective development of a new common sense about nuclear energy. We do so by demystifying radiation sciences and highlighting the benefits of nuclear technology, especially as part of the solution to the climate crisis and as a key element to achieve our sustainable development goals.

We are convinced that we need to deploy all available clean energy technologies to avoid the most gruesome scenarios put forward by the IPCC (2021, 2022). Nuclear energy must be part of the clean energy mix to ensure that emission targets are met, energy poverty is reduced, and quality of life can keep improving – with better access to basic services, healthcare, and education for all. Long term operation of existing nuclear power plants as well as the construction of new builds are essential. The consequences of climate change will disproportionately affect women and girls who are already disadvantaged through poverty and lack of opportunity.
Therefore, WiN Global is calling on policy makers to ensure that women are involved in all steps of the decision making process in addressing the climate crisis. In this sense, we have had an active participation in the last UN Climate Change Conferences of the Parties (COP) as an admitted NGO. Peaceful use of nuclear power and radiation and radioisotopes sciences can be divided into professionals with science and engineering education, teaching, design, testing, operation, licensing, decommissioning, nuclear medicine, nuclear technology or nuclear science experience and advocates who recommend the use of nuclear power but have little or none of the qualifications of professionals. There are organizations and individuals. There are those who claim that use of fossil fuels, and humans and cows for meat and dairy products cause serious global warming. Other nuclear professionals and advocates don’t get involved in this debate.
Catastrophic anthropogenic global warming alarmists have no valid proof that carbon dioxide from fossil fuels causes serious global warming, etc. They use statements from UN IPCC, the COP conferences, computer models and photos of natural weather events and label them man-made weather crises. Most alarmists use the pretext of catastrophic man-made global warming to force people in the Americas, Africa, Australia and Europe to stop using fossil fuels. This will destroy economies and kill billions of people.
See: Chritiana Figuerres, Maurice Strong, John Holdren, Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, Greta Thunberg, James Hansen, Al Gore, Bill McKibben, Michael Mann. Natural Resources Defense Council. Greenpeace. These people are determined to de-develop Australia, Europe and the United States.
It is unfortunate that Women in Nuclear - Global choses to align itself with anthropogenic global warming alarmists. Climate change alarmists have a false campaign that will harm billions of people. Nuclear power has no control over climate change from all sources. Don’t women want to show that they are smarter than certain men who have made errors and caused much suffering throughout history?
