Education and military service (1958 – 1969) B.Sc. and M.Sc. civil engineering, U. of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA, Dr. of Engineering, Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany Officer, U.S. Army Career in engineering (1970 – 1995) Eighteen years in commercial nuclear power, including research, severe accident analysis, licensing, project management in the United States and Switzerland. Two years in software development for petro-chemical industry in Switzerland. Six years in software development and management as sub-contractor to the Department of Energy.

Career in investment management (1996 – 2012) Advising and managing investment accounts for private clients.

Pro-bono public education and advocacy for nuclear power and nuclear medicine (1990 – present) Worked with leaders in advanced nuclear technology projects to discuss the overall situation of nuclear power, policies and problems in government agencies, actions by nuclear energy opponents, situation among the public in general. (1990 – 2009)

Initiated the Holdren Letter in 2010 sent to the Director of Office of Science and Technology Policy, John Holdren, with three urgent recommendations about continued use and development of nuclear energy and production of isotopes for nuclear medicine.

The letter is signed by 357 scientists, engineers, and people from many walks of life living in 21 countries around the world and 39 states in the USA. The letter received several million citations on the Internet for several years.

Chairman, Go Nuclear, Inc. a non-profit engaged in youth and public education about nuclear energy and nuclear medicine. Two high school students in Georgia and Florida contributed significantly in the beginning. Met, corresponded with and video interviewed experts in nuclear energy and nuclear science across the United States, Canada, UK and France. (2010 – 2016) President, Environmentalists for Nuclear – USA, a non-profit engaged in global public education about nuclear energy and nuclear medicine. EFN - USA replaced Go Nuclear, Inc. with a much larger scope and mission. It is affiliated with Environmentalists for Nuclear – International in Houilles, France. The website for EFNUSA is efn-usa.org. It has over 1,140 articles, PowerPoint Presentations, videos, and entire books by more than 600 authors from around the world. This is dedicated solely to public education. It has an International Board of advisors from North and South America, Europe, Africa, India and New Zealand. It issues the Environmentalists for Nuclear – USA Newsletter to people in 118 countries. (2013 – 2018) Editor, allaboutenergy.net. This is an expansion of scope of Go Nuclear, Inc. and Environmentalists for Nuclear – USA. This third website focuses on global public education on how nuclear fits in with fossil fuels and hydro-electric and how they benefit people, the environment and wildlife. This also focuses on identifying problems holding nuclear back and what needs to be done to correct them. (2019 – present)

Personal He and his family lived in Germany six years in the 1960s and Switzerland six year in the 1980s. He has done long-distance walking, backpacking in mountains, biking, crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing. These activities took place in Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, the Netherlands, Peru, Switzerland, Tibet and the United States from 1973 to the present. He has contributed financial support for education of children in Nepal and Tibet. He speaks German and 200418

Spanish. He enjoys working with people of all ages from high school students to retired professionals well into their nineties – all around the world.
