The Sunshine Coast is an iconic and much loved region in Queensland. Australians and international guests alike flock to the area all year round to enjoy the sun and the surf. Located 100 kilometres north of Brisbane, it spans a stunning coastline and fertile hinterland with charming townships dotted along the way.
Noosa is just another slice of subtropical paradise along the Sunshine Coast. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and riverways, lush hinterland and national parks, the township is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia. Visitors to the region are spoilt for choice with a range of attractions and activities based around Noosa’s laidback beach culture. Try any of the aquatic activities such as surfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, whale watching and more. Whale watching is extremely popular between mid-June to November, when the Sunshine Coast is privy to humpback whales migrating up and down the coast. The humpback whale is distinguished by its colouring of black or grey with a white underbelly. This species is renowned for frolicking, which makes for stunning displays of water acrobatics. Make sure you book a whale watching tour if you’re here during the season.
