BMX Bike Track
Here at Lakeside Country Club we have an activities program that includes food, sports, hobbies and fun, there’s something appealing to all ages. On check-in you should have received a copy of “This Week’s Activities”, if not please collect one from Reception.
A BMX track is located at the rear of our Resort, near the tennis courts. All users must wear a helmet and suitable clothing. Riders under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult. Bikes are not available for hire – BYO.
Adults ONLY Lounge
A selection is available from Reception. No charge to hire.
Open 8am – 10pm daily. This Lounge is for the exclusive use of Guests 18 years and over ONLY. Located in the main complex area, it has two pool tables, table tennis, darts, carpet bowls and a selection of books. Entry for those Guests under 18 years is allowed ONLY when participating in a Resort organised activity.
Basic Supplies We provide starter packs of tea, coffee, sugar, dishwashing detergent, soap and toilet paper. Additional supplies can be purchased from the local Numurkah supermarkets.
Basketball The Basketball ring is located at the back of the tennis courts. A ball is available from Reception. No charge to hire – deposit required (see Hire of Equipment). Please return hire equipment within 2 hours.
Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards & Roller Blades These forms of transport and entertainment are not to be used on Resort pathways. Please do not take them into the Adult Lounge, Games Room or Pool area. Please do not leave them lying on the ground outside public areas, doorways or on pathways where another guest may fall over them. Thank you. There is a Skate park down near the municipal swimming pool. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE BIKES INSIDE THE UNIT.
Beach Volleyball The Beach Volleyball court is located adjacent to the Outdoor Pool. A ball is available from Reception. No charge to hire– deposit required (see Hire of Equipment). Please return hire equipment within 2 hours.
Board Games
Boom Gate To enter the Resort you need to type the code into the keypad located on the orange posts 5 metres before the gate. When the gate raises you have 30 seconds to pass through and it will come down automatically once you are through. To exit the Resort you just need to drive up to the gate and it will open automatically. Please remember there is a 10 kilometre speed limit throughout the Resort which is equivalent to idle speed or walking pace.

Extra Charges
There is a coin-operated car wash in Knox Street (that is the third round-a-bout in the main street heading down towards the golf club). Please do not wash cars in Resort as all waste flows back into the Lake.
Guests may be charged for any: damage (accidental or malicious), broken items, additional cleaning, extra linen requested, late check-out and smoke affected Units. For full details refer to the Extra charges section of this compendium.
Children’s Playground
Extra Kitchen Items
There are two playgrounds at Lakeside. One is located near the main BBQ area adjacent to the Tennis Courts. For use by children 7 years and under. Please ensure children are supervised at all times while using this area and do not climb on the water feature in the Fairy Garden. The other playground is located in-front of the Indoor Swimming Pool adjacent to the Mini Golf for 12 years and under.
Occasionally you may need something extra we have not provided in your Unit, e.g.: extra large boiler/saucepan, coffee plunger etc. Please ask at Reception to see if we have the item you require.
Day Kitchen Blue key is required to open the top lock. Located beside the large BBQ area, adjacent to the Tennis Courts, the Day Kitchen is for the use of all guests. It has a refrigerator, full wall oven, dishwasher, sink, crockery & cutlery. Please do not remove any of the items from the area and leave clean for other guests.
Drink/Snack Machines
Facsimile Fax facilities available at Reception. Charges: to send a fax within Australia a $1.00 fee for the 1st page and 50c a page thereafter applies. Internationally the charge is $2.00 for the 1st page and $1.00 a page thereafter.
Fire Please familiarise yourself with the Emergency Evacuation Procedure. This procedure is framed and mounted on the wall near the front door of the Unit. In case of fire, please contact Reception immediately. Observe the assembly points listed on the Emergency Evacuation Procedure and move in an orderly manner to an assembly point.
Coin operated drink and snack machines are located in the breezeway between the Indoor Pool & Squash Courts.

Check out time is 10.00am on your designated day. Please ensure rubbish is taken out to bins provided. Return your key to Reception.
Foxtel (Satellite TV) is available in all Units FREE OF CHARGE. Foxtel provides in excess of 20 additional channels to the free to air networks. The additional channels available include General Entertainment, Movies, Sport & Children’s Programs. To view Foxtel simply follow the instructions on the back page of this compendium.
DVD Players Please do not remove/unplug the DVD player from the main TV. There will be a charge to your room of $35.00, if Resort maintenance staff has to return the DVD player and fittings to their original position.

The blue key is required to open the top lock. Open 8am – 10pm daily. Located in the main complex area and has a pool table, table tennis, air hockey and other electronic amusements. For adults and children 8 years and over.

If you are departing the Resort during the week and other guests are coming in to use the Unit for the remainder of the week, please return all keys to Reception when you depart and advise us of the new arrivals names and details. If the new arrivals will be arriving outside Reception hours, please have them advise us, so we can leave keys out for them. If this procedure is not followed there is no guarantee they will be able to access the Resort or the Unit. They may be subject to a $50.00 call-out fee to open up, as Management of the Resort are not obliged to be on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please DO NOT leave keys in the Unit for new arrivals or with other guests.

Groups
Kitchen Inventory
We do appreciate that being part of a group there will be occasions during your stay when you dine together and ask that you please take note of the crockery and cutlery that you take from your Unit and ensure the same number of each item is returned. Any Unit without correct numbers of crockery and cutlery will be assumed broken. We thank you for your co-operation.
Keep off the Grass
Hire of Equipment Tennis Racquets & balls/Basketballs/Footballs/ Soccer balls/Cricket Bat. These are all available from Reception during office hours. The equipment needs to be brought back to Reception after use so that other guests can use them. Do not leave any borrowed equipment at Reception or hand out to other persons, as the borrower is responsible for their whereabouts at all times. Table Tennis balls are available for purchase from Reception for $1.00 and then yours to keep.
Hot Water The Units hot water service operates on an offpeak night rate. If you run out of hot water, it will re-heat overnight.
Instruction Manuals Instruction manuals for Unit items are located in your bottom kitchen drawer.
Jumping Pillow Open 8am to dark daily weather permitting (except Friday opens at 2pm). Children under 12 years MUST be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years. No shoes, food, drink or sharp objects permitted within the fenced area. This area is under 24 hour video surveillance. An inventory list of your kitchen items is located inside a kitchen cupboard door. This will let you know what kitchen items are in the Unit. Despite our many attempts to eliminate the noxious bindi-eye weed it is still prevalent in the grass particularly when the grass is dry. We recommend that you wear shoes when walking on the grass and do not ride bikes on the grass to avoid punctures. Please DO NOT park cars, boats, trailers and other vehicles on the grass, they cause damage to sprinklers and restrict watering. There is ample parking behind the tennis courts if you need somewhere else to park extra vehicles.

Massage
On your key ring are the front door key to your Unit and a Blue key that opens the doors to all facilities. Unit Keys must be returned to Reception on departure. If the Unit Keys are not returned to Reception on departure or returned damaged in any way, a locksmith will be called in to change the locks and you will be charged (minimum $150.00).
Available on-site with Shirley registered with A.M.T. Feeling tired, stressed or rundown? Why not treat yourself to a relaxing massage! Bookings can be made through Reception by 4.30pm the day prior to your planned massage. Cancellation policy - if less than 24 hours notice is given a 50% charge will apply. Remedial massage – where a receipt is required please ask Shirley at the time of booking.
Kids Fun Activity Books & Colouring Pages Remember to collect some fun kids activity pages from Reception.
Kids Room The blue key is required to open the top lock. Open 8am-10pm daily. For Children 7 years and under and MUST be in the supervision of a parent or guardian over the age of 12 years.
Library There are a number of books available for you to read located in a cupboard in the Adult Lounge. Please feel free to borrow them whilst you are staying at the Resort. Donations are gratefully received if you have finished reading a book of your own.
Linen When checking-out the bed linen should be left on the bed and the towels left on the bathroom floor. Thank you.
Lost Property Please ensure to pack all personal items on departure. Any food items left behind will be disposed of promptly. Personal belongings found in Units will be held for 3 months and then will be donated locally.
Maintenance Please report any maintenance requirements to Reception. Maintenance will normally be carried out between the hours of 2pm and 5pm on the day of report. Please advise Reception if this is not suitable for staff to access your Unit during these hours, so alternate arrangements can be made.
Mini Golf Open 8am till dark. Clubs are available adjacent to the course. Balls are available for hire at Reception for the duration of your stay. Golf Balls not returned will be charged at $2.00 per ball. No charge to hire – deposit required (see Hire of Equipment).

Pets
Daily newspapers (Herald Sun & The Age) can be ordered for the duration of your stay from Reception. Payment is required at the time of placing your order. Papers can be collected from Reception each morning.
Pets are not permitted on Resort premises.
Noise We ask you to consider other guests and keep the noise level to a minimum after 10.00pm. Thank you.

Outdoor Pool
Remote Controls
Open 9am-10pm daily except Friday opens at 2pm). Children Under 12 years MUST be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years. Closed for Winter months from 1st May and reopens 1st November.
Remote controls for the Television, Foxtel and DVD are located on your coffee table. Please return all remotes to the remote box and leave in your Unit upon departure.
Photocopying Available at Reception at 30c per sheet.
Public Transport
Rubbish Disposal & Collection Rubbish is collected and the Recycle Bin is emptied on Friday morning, NOT on Thursday with the rest of the street. Our staff will place your rubbish bin and recycle tub, kerb-side on Thursday afternoon.
Security Security personnel lock the Resort facilities each evening at 10pm.
Smoking Policy Smoking is NOT permitted in the Units, around BBQ areas or in any public building throughout the Resort. If you are smoking outside the Unit please ensure the smoke does not blow back into the Unit through open windows or doors. If the Unit smells of smoke on your departure there will be an extra cleaning charge payable.
Speed Limit Please drive at walking pace only on Resort grounds.
Sprinklers All our water for our sprinklers comes from our lake and the excess drains back into the lake again.

Table Tennis Table Tennis tables are located in the Adult Lounge, for use by guests 18 years and over and in the Games Room for all to use. Table Tennis balls are available to purchase from Reception for $1.00. The balls purchased are then yours to keep.

See, visit, taste & play Take time to explore Numurkah and the surrounding area. Drop into the Tourist Information Centre located in Melville Street (the main shopping strip) on the corner of Knox Street. They have maps, brochures and information on tours, attractions, golf courses, the Murray River and more. Numurkah is ideally located just 20 minutes from Shepparton, 30 minutes to Cobram/Barooga, 40 minutes to Yarrawonga/Mulwala and Echuca/Moama. The Tourist Information Centre also has information on other attractions that are ideal for a day tour such as Melbourne, the Rutherglen wineries and lots more.

Cheese Boosey Creek Cheese, Grinter Road, Boosey. Tel: 5748 4374 Hours of business: 10am to 5pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Public Holidays and daily during Victorian School Holidays. Boosey Creek is owned and operated by three generations of the Cameron Family. All the cheeses are hand made on-farm with the milk from their Fresian-Holstein dairy cows. The range of cheese produced on-site include Boosey Soft just like a camembert, a Boosey Blue and Burra- mine Blue, Gouda flavoured with cumin as a tribute to their Dutch heritage. Tungamah Tasty cheddar matured for 6 to 12 months and a range of fetas. The cows can be viewed being milked between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Dairy Farm Tour Glenarron Farm is a fully operating dairy farm and offers a hands-on tour every Wednesday at 4pm. Bookings are essential and can be made through Reception.

Monichino’s Winery is located approximately 10 kilometres from the Resort. This family owned and operated winery produces a range of award winning white and red wines, as well as dessert wines, ports and muscat. Monichino’s Cafe Tramontino open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch 11.30am to 3.00pm.
International Grand Prix Gallery Located in Patterson Street (just off Wattle Drive), this labour of love is a must see for car enthusiasts. Robert has over 600 model cars on display from the first car built in 1885 by Karl Benz, to Le Mans, Formula One, Holden & Ford race cars and a model of almost every Ferrari ever produced. Extra charges ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE We take great pride in the way the Units are presented for your arrival. Should your Unit require more than a reasonable clean upon departing these charges will be passed on to you. For example: stains on bedding and strong cooking odours will incur a cleaning fee (Resort Managers will contact guests directly to discuss extra cleaning and charges).
CARPET CLEANING If there is something spilled on the carpet we would appreciate a call as soon as possible so we can attempt to remove the stain. If steam cleaning is required, the amount for the clean will be passed onto the guest. DAMAGE OR BROKEN ITEMS Any damage caused by a guest/s to the Units or any Resort property / facilities, will be charged to those responsible. Items broken in the Unit will be charged at the following replacement costs: • Dinner Plates: $5.00 • B&B Plates: $2.50 • Cups & Saucers: $2.50 • Wine Glasses: $5.00 • Bowls: $5.00 • Other glasses: $3.00 • Any other items: price to be determined. EXTRA LINEN Each Unit is equipped with sufficient linen for the maximum allowable occupancy. If you require extra linen or a change of linen (other than those staying multiple weeks) will be charged at the following rates: • Single bed sheets & pillow slips: $10.00 set • Queen/Double bed sheets & pillow slips: $15.00 set • Pillow slip or towel: $2.50 each LATE CHECK OUT We ask that all guests vacate their Unit by 10.00am on Friday morning. We have 48 Units to clean in a short amount of time and to ensure we have the Units ready on time for our incoming guests we need your co-operation. Guests failing to vacate by 10.00am will be charged a late check-out fee of $10 per half hour or part thereof. SMOKING IN UNITS Smoking is NOT permitted in the Units. If you are smoking outside the Unit please ensure the smoke does not blow back into the Unit through open windows or doors. If we are unable to use the Unit the next week because of the smell of smoke guests will be charged a minimum of $150.00 (depending on the season) for extra cleaning and loss of income to the Resort.
Other useful information UNIT KEYS Unit Keys must be returned to Reception on departure. If the Unit Keys are not returned to Reception on departure or returned damaged in any way, a locksmith will be called in to change the locks and you will be charged (minimum $150.00). If you are departing the Resort during the week and other guests are coming in to use the Unit for the remainder of the week, please return the keys to Reception when you depart and advise us of the new arrivals. If the new guests will be arriving outside Reception hours, please have them advise us of their expected arrival. If this procedure is not followed there is no guarantee they will be able to access the Resort or their Unit. They may be subject to a $50.00 call-out fee to open up the Unit. Please DO NOT leave the key in the Unit for new arrivals or with other guests.
Safety first It is our priority that members, guests, visitors, adults and children have a happy and safe holiday. We ask that you abide by and enforce the following safety rules to ensure everybody’s well-being. Children under 12 years MUST be accompanied by an adult guardian whilst in the pool (guardian must be 18 years or over) Please ensure children/adults do not ride/skate on Resort pathways. There is an 8 kilometre speed limit (walking pace) in the Resort that all vehicles MUST abide by. Any member, guest or visitor not abiding by these safety rules will be asked to do so by Resort staff.
Television Lakeside Country Club has two TV’s in each two and three bedroom Units. The TV in the lounge has Free to Air TV, FOXTEL & a DVD player for your enjoyment. Channels have been pre-set. If you are having problems notify Reception. To Operate the TV, Foxtel box or DVD Player you will need to follow the instructions below. 1. To watch Free to Air TV - press the SOURCE button on the TV remote and select DTV. 2. To watch FOXTEL - press the SOURCE button on the TV remote and select AV1. Then select the channels with the FOXTEL remote. A viewing guide for FOXTEL is available by pressing “TV Guide” on the FOXTEL remote. To continue viewing - press “BACK”. 3. To play a DVD - press SOURCE button on the TV remote control and select Component 1. Then select DVD options with the DVD remote.
