I
t’s hard to imagine that it’s only two short years ago that I was nervously writing my first ed’s letter for the new-look Club magazine. I had spent the previous three months working with my team to transform the already-established publication into a fashion, beauty and lifestyle bible for women (with a quarterly magazine, Club MAN, for our guy shoppers). The result? A Thula Sindi-clad model smouldering for the camera and the one million Club members who received the magazine that month. This high-fashion image has set the tone for everything we have accomplished since then, from shooting in locations as exotic as Stone Town in Zanzibar and Mapenzi Beach in Kenya to gaining exclusive interview access to the likes of beauty moguls Aerin Lauder and Bobbi Brown; as well as Paralympic athletics champion and L’Oréal Paris beauty ambassador, Aimee Mullins. And that’s just the magazine! We’ve also tried to add extra value to your Club experience by publishing

a host of free fashion and beauty supplements both with the magazine and online. This month’s Kids Summer 2013, which includes the cutest in minime threads, as well as much-needed advice on how to plan the coolest kids’ parties, is one of my favourites. And if you haven’t yet found us on the newly relaunched edgarsclub.co.za, Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, like, where have you been? As for me, making this magazine brand work harder for you has, and continues to be, a creative outlet like no other. Plus, I get to eat, breathe and sleep fashion 24/7.
