Spring has finally sprung!

I love spring in the Washington, DC, area – it is simply spectacular. It’s not just about the blooms and the weather. It’s about everyone shaking off the collective shell of winter. Emerging to enjoy outside patio dining. Taking much more enjoyable walks in longer days. Relaxing with a glass of wine on an outdoor terrace on a (still) sunny evening. It just makes us feel better!

In this issue of John Eric Home, we explore the spring and its activities. Sherry Moeller has written an amazing piece on outdoor living to get us in tune with the season. Our ‘Stylist’ section features spring fashion while our ‘Mixology’ section offers recipes for great spring drinks. ‘Diplomacy’ high-lights diplomatic events to enjoy this season – including an embassy walk.

To celebrate the newness of spring, we have redesigned some of our magazine’s features. In this issue, we are launching our newly inspired Interior Spotlight feature. Over the course of our next six issues, we will be hosting Q&A sessions with the Washington area’s hottest designers. We begin the series with Keira St. Cloud. It’s something that you don’t want to miss! Also, in our ‘Foodie’ section, we are blasting back to the past and re-printing some of our “chef features” that readers enjoyed the most. This issue, we begin with Green Pig Bistro.
