Family Tributes

My Husband, My Friend For the past 48 years we have had joy, happiness, and pain, but we kept the faith. We shared good times and bad times, but we always looked to God for help and He brought us out. I can remember our last conversation together and the things you told me. You felt good with yourself and I knew that you were prepared to go and be with the Lord. Sweetheart, all your pain and suffering are no more and although I miss you dearly I am at peace because God did not put more on you than you could bear. Instead, He took you home. I will always remember and love you. You and I were friends and stood beside each other when we needed it most. Through thick and thin, I know you will always be here for me and I will cherish our love for each other forever. I will never let the love we shared die. I promise to carry you in my heart always. For I am your, LOVE. Your loving wife, Sadie Sims “Love” Dad, Another piece of our heart is missing. Although we feel sad about it, we are consoled in knowing that you are in heaven at rest with the King. There will be no more doctors, no more hospitals and no more suffering for you. But, sadly enough for us that means no more phone calls, no more good advice. Despite the no mores, we know now more than ever before that you have left us with enough wisdom and knowledge to

endure what the future holds. You did what every earthly father should. Some people called you “Sandy Black.” I’m not sure what that meant to them but to us it was an honor to have had a father so wonderful that his nickname described him perfectly. Black as a berry and as sweet as the juice. We have many precious memories to hold on to and cherish until we see you again. Love Always, Your Children Eddie, Eric, Melissa, Toni, Brenda and Martha

Home Going Celebration For

Acknowledgments The Family of the late Leroy Sims is appreciative for all the acts of kindness and sympathy. Your expressions and prayers have prevailed the strength necessary to endure. There is such comfort in the assurance that we are not alone in this celebration. You have shown to us the gift of God’s love and His kindness. — THE FAMILY —

Paw−Paw, We know that you have been through a lot of trials and tribulations, but you held on. You've had lots of sickness and pain, in and out hospitals, and held on. You’ve seen both parents, siblings and other pass on before you, and you still held on. It is hard for us to see you go, but we know that you are in a better place and that tomorrow is not promised to any of us. So from now on we’ll live like it’s our last, be grateful for every moment and hold dear to our hearts and all the precious memories that we shared. We all love you and will miss you! Always and Forever, Your grandchildren and great−grandchildren Lost Love Losing a man, so precious and true; this was going to happen one day, I knew. Your physical body has been taken away from me. But not your love. It’s much easier for me because I know I lost you to the Man up above. I know that God will now take care of you and there will be no more pain; and some day by and by I will see you again. I will always remember you deep in my heart; so by having your love inside of me we will never be apart. Love and Miss You, Your sister, Dorothy King.

work at several companies and retiring from Eddy Refinery after 15 years of service. Leroy was a loving father to two wonderful sons and four beautiful daughters. He spent most of his time enjoying family and friends. Whenever there was a family gathering, he was there filling the room with laughter and joy. By far, his favorite times were spent on holidays having all his children and grandchildren together. He was kind and caring and his door was always open. Leroy put his family first.
