Not Reality •Most people see in color so when we see a black and white photograph we know that there is something “unreal” or ABSTRACT about it. •This abstraction allows us to ignore reality for a moment and focus on some of the more simple ELEMENTS of art.

Your Assignment • Shoot at least 24 exposures of “Texture”. • You must shoot outside with the sun as your light source. • Make a Contact Sheet to turn in. • Print either a 5x7 or an 8x10 of the negative that most artistically represents “Texture”. • Dry mount your print on appropriate sized matte board. • Use a black boarder if it would look better.
