How to stop and remove a skill from Alexa by voice commands • To stop an ongoing action: • If an ongoing action causing your smart speaker to perform troublemaking tasks, then ask Alexa to end it.

• 1. Active your smart speaker by saying “Alexa, Echo, or Amazon.”

• 2. And say “Alexa, stop.”

• The task will be stopped, but wouldn’t remove.

To quit from a skill: • • If you want to walk out from the current Alexa skill, then use the steps given below.

• 1. Active your smart speaker by saying “Alexa, Echo, or Amazon.”

• 2. And say “Alexa, cancel” or “Alexa! quit.”

• • You can also do one more thing to quit from a skill, just ignore the skill. Don’t give any command to your Alexa to ignore a skill, after some time it will automatically quit.

• • Ask Alexa for a new skill or task. This will also stop and quit the current skill. To force your smart speaker to switch skills: • 1. Active your smart speaker by saying “Alexa, Echo, or Amazon.”

• 2. And give a new command like “Alexa, How is the weather?”

To disable a skill: • 1. Active your smart speaker by saying “Alexa, Echo, or Amazon.”

• 2. And say “Alexa, disable “Name of the skill you want to remove”.

• The skill will be removed entirely from your smart speakers and also from your account. You can also enable the same Alexa skill when you want to use it again. You can’t remove or disable the default skills of your smart speaker.

How to disable a skill from Alexa using Alexa app • 1. Open the ‘Alexa’ app on your phone.

• 2. Sign in into the app with the same Amazon account you’re using on your Alexa.

• 3. Now, tap the ‘Three lines’ button at the upper left corner.

• 4. Tap on ‘Skills’ from the bottom of the main menu.

• 5. Tap on ‘Your Skills’ at the upper right corner.

• 6. Scroll or search for the skill you’re looking for.

• 7. Tap on the ‘Skill’ you want to remove.

• 8. Tap on the large ‘DISABLE SKILL’ button of the skill to disable it. That’s it!

• This will disable the skill on your Alexa as well as remove it from your account.
