Products & Installation Warranty We’ve got your back with exceptional products and an outstanding warranty. It’s all about raising the level of trust your customers have in you and making callbacks a thing of the past. You’re a Certified Energy Expert™professional, which means your work is backed with a 10-year limited warranty on our products and your installation of those products. You are responsible for making sure the warranty is registered within 60 days of installation, otherwise, it becomes null and void. You can register it yourself or have the homeowners do so by mailing in their registration card and product information once the job is complete. CERTIFIED ENERGY EXPERT™ (“CEE”) PROGRAM Limitations on the transferability of this warranty are set forth herein.

Completion and mailing of this registration card is optional, but encouraged in order for Owens Corning to serve you better.

WHO IS COVERED? The original consumer purchaser of Product for installation in a free-standing residential home within the United States, or the first transferee from the original consumer purchaser (“Purchaser”). For this warranty to be transferred, the new homeowner must complete and return the attached Warranty Transfer Card within sixty (60) days of the real estate transfer. Beyond the Purchaser, this warranty is not transferable. WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER? For ten (10) years from the completion date of Product installation, Owens Corning Insulating Systems, LLC (“Owens Corning”) warrants that the Product has been manufactured and installed in accordance with its published specifications and is free from any defect in material or manufacturing that would adversely affect its original insulating efficiency. WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER? This warranty does not apply to, and Owens Corning shall not be liable for, damage due to any cause not expressly covered herein.This warranty does not cover any problems with non-defective Product or installation caused by conditions or handling beyond the control of Owens Corning or the Contractor. Some examples of conditions not covered by this warranty include failures or defects in the Product or installation caused by: causes beyond normal and proper use including, but not limited to: acts of God, war or terrorism, fire, flood, wind or other weather damage, or exposure to chemicals or the environment; or installation services provided by anyone other than an installer that is certified by Owens Corning through its Certified Energy Expert program as of the installation date; or non-manufacturing defects, including but not limited to improper maintenance, neglect, accident, casualty, vandalism, misuse, ice damning, failure or defect of the Product or installation resulting from an alteration made to the structure of the residence, or any other cause that disturbs or disrupts the Product as installed; or any costs incurred by you that are not authorized in advance by Owens Corning. LIMITATIONS ON COVERAGE ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR PURPOSE AND THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN UNLESS A SHORTER PERIOD IS PERMITTED BY LAW. OWENS CORNING SHALL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING, ITS CONTENTS OR ITS OCCUPANTS. THIS WARRANTY CONTAINS ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF PURCHASER’S REMEDIES FROM OWENS CORNING. OWENS CORNING'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS WARRANTY, WHETHER ANY CLAIM AGAINST IT IS BASED UPON STRICT LIABILITY, NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER THEORY OR CAUSE OF ACTION. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

WHAT WILL WE DO TO CORRECT PROBLEMS? If the performance of the Product is ever materially affected during the warranty period by a Product or installation defect as described in the preceding paragraphs, then Owens Corning will, at its sole discretion, provide the Purchaser with the reasonable cost of: (1) a quantity of Product sufficient to replace the defective Product or (2) a quantity of Product sufficient to bring the thermal performance of the installed Product up to the original intended energy efficiency, and, (3) if Owens Corning, in its sole discretion, so determines, the cost to remove the defective Product and to install the new Product. OWENS CORNING'S LIABILITY HEREUNDER IS LIMITED TO THE REASONABLE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT OR ADDITIONAL PRODUCT REQUIRED AND THE COST TO REMOVE THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND TO INSTALL THE NEW PRODUCT. The ten (10) year coverage offered by this warranty automatically ceases upon the sale of the building or property where the Product has been installed by the original Purchaser.

Note: Please retain proof of purchase and installation date with your important records in the event that you choose to transfer this warranty in the future.

NOTIFICATION OF CLAIMS To make a claim under this warranty, the Purchaser must notify Owens Corning within sixty (60) days of the date that the claimed defect is first discovered. The Purchaser should submit the claim in writing to OWENS CORNING INSULATING SYSTEMS, LLC, ONE OWENS CORNING PARKWAY,TOLEDO OH 43659. Please state the Purchaser’s name, address, telephone number, Product name, a description of the claimed defect, the date of installation and Contractor/Installer name, and submit proof of purchase.

Direct Mail Direct mail is a great way to reach your target audience at home – right where the benefits of insulation are top-of-mind. Other benefits of direct mail: it’s fairly inexpensive, it’s extremely targeted, it can be personalized and it doesn’t have a shelf life. Web Banners Banner ads are similar to small-space print ads, except they’re online. You can place them on your own website as well as on websites your builder and homeowner customers are likely to visit repeatedly. Think about the types of local sites your audience may be browsing. Local news stations and handyman websites are great places to start for homeowners and builders. Then, contact the individual websites for their rates and how they can place your web banner(s) on their site, or talk with your media advisor. Motion helps catch the eye of people browsing any site. Here’s how to get started: • Decide on a budget. • Think about your target audience and determine what type of music they listen to: Top 40? Country? Easy listening? Then find local stations that play that type of music. Invoice Submittal Process To accrue funds for the Certified Energy Expert™ program, you must submit product invoices or distributor reports for your purchases of Owens Corning™ insulation products. To ensure timely access to your available funds, the program has set semiannual deadlines for invoice submissions, provided below. You may submit invoices at any time prior to the due dates, but invoices must be received by these deadlines.

Key Dates for the Program • January

Submit invoices throughout the year to earn co-op. Deadline for invoice submissions for the previous year is January 31. (Example: all 2012 invoices need to be submitted by January 31, 2013.)

• June

Promotional funding is available for your use for the year in which it was earned thru June 30 of the following year. (Example: co-op funding earned from 2012 purchases must be used by June 30, 2013.) NOTE: Co-op funds do not carry over into the next program year.

THE PINK PANTHER™ Guidelines THE PINK PANTHER™ is a key aspect of the Owens Corning™ Corporate Identity Program. Before an item is produced, each use of THE PINK PANTHER™ must be approved by MGM. Incorrect use dilutes the effectiveness of our marketing efforts and jeopardizes our licensing agreement. MGM reserves the right to place a cease-anddesist order on materials that violate their rules and will not be accountable for any costs incurred to revise or retract a communication.

Rules for Use Owens Corning™ has exclusive licensing of THE PINK PANTHER™ in our market. Obtaining MGM Approval to Use THE PINK PANTHER™ Each time you create a layout including THE PINK PANTHER™, please send a .jpeg or .pdf file of the final layout to localmarketing@owenscorning.com for MGM approval.
