The Classes of 1970s and 1980s will have their bi annual reunion the night before the USC Florida Football Game, Nov 13. You can register and pay here, http://saeusc.celect.org/reunions . Tickets are $25 each, which includes open bar and light food. Casual attire, and spouse/date is welcome. Sponsors are also welcome at $75 each. The social will be held at the Hay Hill Garden Market, 1625 Bluff Road, in Columbia (near the Stadium), starting at 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm. Parents Weekend Oct 16-17 This year's Parents Cocktail will be on Friday, October 16th at the Sheraton Columbia Downtown Hotel located in the Vista. Friday's event will be held in the Sheraton's National Republic Ballroom beginning at 8:00 PM. More details will be sent out as the date approaches. Because this is the weekend of a home football game (Vanderbilt), as well as USC Homecoming, parents are urged to make hotel arrangements soon. For those interested in staying on-site, the chapter has arranged for a number of rooms to be made available to SAE parents only. To take advantage, simply call the hotel at (803) 988-1400 and request to book a room under the SAE Parents block
Matthew Orren, '09, is now Investment Portfolio Specialist with Raymond James Financial in Atlanta. A native of Greenville, he graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013 with a JD in law. At Carolina, he was on the LIFE and University Scholars Scholarships, he was on the Dean's List (5 of 8 Semesters), and SAE Inter-fraternity Council Delegate. Matt is certified with his Series 7 (FINRA) and Series 66 (NASAA), His interested include: "Experimenting with fusion cooking techniques, technology, snow skiing, and traveling to the twenty-one U.S. states and various European countries I have yet to visit."
