Johnny Rogue-photographer
Born in 1971 in Hoboken, New Jersey, Johnny was influenced early on by the art, architecture, and the culture that lives and breathes 24 hours a day in the streets of Hoboken. He picked up his first camera at age 3, a vintage Nikon S-3 left by the father he never knew. Johnny grew up seldom being able to afford film for the camera, but he carried it everywhere. In college Johnny studied journalism, philosophy and art history. He soon realized jobs in the field were as absent as the film in his father’s camera. Purely by accident he took a job shooting nightlife in New York City’s most exclusive hot spots and now had an endless supply of film. Although the hours were long and the pay wasn’t much to brag about, it paved his way into a 20 year career in the fashion industry. Johnny has covered 10 years worth of NYC’s Fashion Week (Spring & Fall) starting in 2000. Since then, Johnny has been published in Vogue, Maxim, Esquire, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, GQ and many
