Experiential Education

IT ALL STARTS WITH EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION

With 100+ years of experiential education under our belt, you can be sure that every JWU college, major and student experience is centered around it. Why just learn lessons when you can also live them? This is how we do it.

Premier faculty help you shine in the classroom and beyond.

Our students are taught by nationally-acclaimed faculty who have seen and done it all in their years of industry experience. They often connect students to their powerful network for job and internship opportunities. Game-changing internships are a big part of your degree.

Internships are a core part of every academic program we offer. They provide you a chance to put your classroom lessons into practice, learn even more through first-hand experience and try out your future career options before you graduate. You can also take part in Directed Experiential Education (DEE) projects, which are courses where students work directly with organizations like TD Garden, the Boston Bruins, Marriott and more to consult on topics, develop solutions and present their findings and recommendations.

A dedicated team of career experts guide you through it all.

Our Experiential Education and Career Services (EECS) office is the powerhouse team that helps bring the “experiential” part of a JWU education to life. They’re responsible for helping thousands of JWU students secure internships and prepare for their careers after college by hosting career fairs and expos, résumé workshops, mock interview sessions and more.
