YOUR
Eager to start and complete college sooner so you can launch your career? Then the Early Enrollment Program (EEP) at Johnson & Wales can help you jumpstart your future plans.
What is EEP?
EEP allows you to start attending classes at JWU while still completing your senior year of high school, all without missing any important high school events and milestones. You’ll also be eligible to live in one of our residence halls and still graduate from high school at the same time as your peers.
The benefits of EEP
One of the best things about enrolling in the EEP program is that you’ll be ahead of your peers academically, giving you a running start into your college experience. You’ll also:
• Graduate one full year earlier.
• Get started on finding your career path sooner.
• Save on tuition. Pay half the regular tuition your first year at JWU.
“We were surprised when we heard David was seriously considering the Early Enrollment Program.
As parents, we were nervous and concerned about him finishing high school and starting college at the same time. After talking to his academic advisor, she eased our fears. His high school credits were completed after the second term, and he made the dean’s list! He had a successful first year and was involved with many organizations.
We cannot wait to see what the future holds for him at JWU!”
— Jason and Laura Allen, parents of David Allen

“JWU worked closely with us and our high school to get everything in place: transcripts, graduation requirements and more. JWU actually cut tuition in half for Michelle’s first year ... and continued to work closely with her during that year to make sure she remained on track. We never had to worry that she was in good hands. Michelle graduated with a National Honor Society diploma and was on the dean’s list at JWU. As a parent, to see the growth in my daughter in one year was incredible.”
— Ann Aliquo Mother of Michelle Aliquo“Briana’s acceptance and participation in JWU’s EEP was the most beneficial and exciting event to happen in Briana’s academic career. Leaving the proverbial nest at a tender age of 17 was a little nerve-racking from a parent’s point of view.
However, because of JWU’s superb program, I watched Briana develop from a young girl to an independent, smart young adult!
Thank you, JWU!”
What are the academic qualifications for EEP?
To be considered for EEP, you need to have:
• a minimum 2.75 GPA (B-) and a B- in English
• a minimal number of high school classes left to complete to meet graduation requirements. (For example, you might have one English class and one or two other classes to take in order to graduate.)
Requirements and equivalent JWU courses will be determined by your high school counselor and JWU.

To participate in EEP, do the following during your junior year of high school:

❍ Application period begins in late fall of your junior year. JWU will need mid-year grades to render a decision on your early enrollment.
❏ Submit the EEP Agreement Form.
❍ Be sure to have your school counselor and principal complete (and sign) the EEP Agreement Form.
❍ Have your parent/guardian’s signed consent on the EEP Agreement Form.
