Good vibes and good company
WELCOME TO THE
WILDCAT WAY
What does it mean to be
PART OF A CO
OMMUNITY? We define it a little differently. community [kuh-myoo-ni-tee]: not just a noun, but a state of mind 1. A diverse and inclusive group of people who believe in the power of education. 2. A pillar of the Wildcat Way. 3. A campus with no true borders, blending in perfect harmony with the surrounding city of Charlotte. 4. Students, faculty and staff working together to learn, grow, create and make an impact on the world around them.

CLASSROOMS
where everybody knows your name Small class sizes make a big impact when it comes to your academic experience. You’ll be able to connect with your professors and classmates on a deeper level and build relationships that will help you grow academically, professionally and personally.
Average class size: 19 students
And sometimes, the “classroom” isn’t really a classroom at all. Your lessons will be in our hands-on learning labs, but they can also come in the form of working with local companies, teaming up with students from other majors on collaborative projects, or even traveling around the world to study abroad. That kind of experiential education is what we’re known for – and we’ve perfected it.
“I love the sense of family that we have here — different than a big school. I like that I can go into class and my professors know me by name and know me well.” Kacie De Laughter ’24, Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship
“The hands-on aspect is what I feel makes the Psychology program thrive, as well as the small classes. You are able to get to know your classmates very well and build a community that supports everyone.”
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time thus far as a JWU student, and I have to thank the wonderful faculty and staff here at JWU Charlotte because they genuinely want to see their students succeed.”
Gianna Marlowe ’24, Psychology
Alijah Jamison ’25, Business Administration

“My first year at JWU was one of the most formative years of my life. Between the opportunities and experiences that I had and the friends that I made, I feel that I grew so much as a person within just two semesters.”
