Perhaps pay a visit to the Abergavenny Museum and learn the towns story from prehistory to the present day. The Friday market is well known as one of the major markets in Wales located in the heart of the town where you will find all kinds of goods. Bradford-on-Avon and Corsham, Wiltshire u Tuesday 3 April Our first stop is Bradford-on-Avon, surrounded by beautiful countryside and facing the River Avon, this picturesque town has plenty of character. Enjoy a stroll through the town with its quaint shops and restaurants or take a seat and relax by the river. Enjoy the view from the ancient bridge in the centre of town and see the old weavers’ cottages dotted along the hill. Early afternoon we head to Corsham, a pretty market town with Bath stone buildings and where colourful peacocks roam freely along the cobbled high street, which was used in the BBC’s hit drama Poldark. Brighton u Thursday 12 April Stylish Brighton has all the ingredients for seaside fun, from the bustling Palace Pier to a walk along the prom. There is also the impressive Royal Pavilion to visit, built as a seaside pleasure palace for King George IV. Stroll along the quaint lanes and visit the many boutiques and antique shops. If it’s shopping that you want then head to the Bristol Shopping Quarter, with two covered centre’s, Cabot Circus and The Galleries. With over 120 stores, restaurants and cafes it has lots to offer. See the ornate Eastgate Clock before visiting the unique medieval, two-tiered ‘Rows’. These double-level walkways have balconies and shops at each level. Llandudno u Thursday 5 April Llandudno is the largest resort in Wales. Lying between the western Great Orme and eastern Little Orme are two beautiful beaches, the award winning north shore and the sand duned west shore. Perhaps take a ride on Britain’s only cablehauled tramway to the Great Orme, this unique experience takes you on a one-mile journey to the summit where you can enjoy the great views of Llandudno’s sweeping bays, or take a stroll along the longest pier in Wales, this award winning pier was built in 1878 and is a grade II listed building. Visit the Great Hall, this dining and leisure area has over 60 restaurants and cafes so there will be lots of opportunities to have a rest! Also home to Sea Life and a Legoland Discovery Centre. National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire u Wednesday 21 February The NMA is home to the moving Armed Forces Memorial which remembers those who have given their lives since the end of WW11. We will arrive in time for the daily Act of Remembrance in the Millennium Chapel of Peace and Forgiveness, where a brief history will be given by a guide followed by a two minute silence. Explore the 150 acre site where new memorials are added every year, join the land train with commentary to see some of vast collection of memorials and read their stories or use an audio guide to make the most of your visit. We visit on Pannier Market day, with over 70 stalls selling local produce and goods along with antique stalls and art displays. Perhaps pay a visit to the Quince Honey Farm and see the fascinating exhibition of honey bees, see inside the hives and see the inner workings of the honey bee colonies before visiting the farm shop selling all kinds of natural honey products. BOOKING CONDITIONS Confirmation of Booking We require payment in full within 7 days of booking. We will then send you a confirmation/receipt which is also your ticket for the excursion. If payment is not received within this time, your booking will be cancelled. (Online bookers can print off their confirmation). Methods of Payment Cash, cheque, debit and credit cards are acceptable. Please make cheques payable to: ‘Johnsons Coach Travel’. Please note that there is a 2% charge for payments made by credit card. Reductions There are no reductions for Senior Citizens or Children on Express Excursions. Cancellation (a) By the Company If, due to less than 20 bookings, we are forced to cancel any excursion, we reserve the right to do so up to 2 working days prior to departure. All monies paid by passengers will be refunded and following that, we shall be exempt from further liability. (b) By the Passenger You may cancel your booking at any time, subject to these conditions: (i) With more than 2 working days prior to departure you will receive a refund of £5.00 per person. (ii) With less than 2 working days’ notice, the £19 per person fare is non-refundable. Alterations The company reserves the right to alter or cancel any excursion listed in this brochure, or to change the size and specification of vehicle used. On occasion it may be necessary to allocate a vehicle with a larger seating capacity. When this occurs please be advised that seat numbers may change. Unaccompanied Children Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age.
