This new brochure features old favourite Great Breaks such as our Luxury Traveller break to Sidmouth with Brend Hotels, as well as some exciting new breaks such as our ‘Highlights of Hertfordshire’ tour based at the Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage Old Town. As always, we also have some fantastic festive Great Breaks, including the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and Christmas at Chatsworth House.

Great UK city breaks have a few things in common – there is always lots going on, exciting places to visit, great food and drink, and a fantastic place to stay. On Pages 6 & 7 we offer a great choice of one night city breaks that will suit the more independent traveller who prefer more free time to explore on their own. We will get you to your destination as quickly as possible so that you have the maximum time possible to explore your destination. All hotels are centrally located and include bed & breakfast. Please note that our One Night City Breaks features on pages 6 & 7 do not include our normal courier service.
What Can I Expect on a One Night City Break:
With less ‘organisation’ than offered on a traditional coach holiday, these breaks allow more free time for you to explore on foot – So please do your research before you go on what you would like to see and do. Our driver will set you down in a centrally convenient location and collect you at pre-arranged times to take you to your hotel and return you home on day two.

Durham City Break
What To See: Durham, in the north east of England, is a city with ‘wow!’factor. Visitors cannot fail to be impressed upon their first viewing: Durham is a beautiful city. It was founded at the end of the first century when monks from the ‘holy island’ of Lindisfarne chose an elevated peninsula on the River Wear to establish their new church; a resting place for the body of Saint Cuthbert. Today, Durham’s Castle and Cathedral complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is recognised for its historic importance and as some of the finest surviving Norman architecture in Europe. Whilst Durham's castle and cathedral are undoubtedly unmissable, the cobbled streets of its compact city centre – a designated conservation area – are lined with historic and listed buildings.

Sunday Departing after breakfast, we journey south over the Salisbury Plain and head to Stonehenge – the best known prehistoric monument in Europe. Explore the ancient landscape on foot and step inside the Neolithic Houses to discover the tools and objects of everyday Neolithic life. Day 1 Aerospace Bristol tells the amazing story of Bristol’s world-class aerospace industry and gives you the chance to step aboard a British icon, Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the final Concorde to be built and fly over 20 years ago. Step aboard and dine alongside the iconic supersonic jet. From here it is a short drive to our hotel in Clevedon where we arrive for our 2-night stay.
Day 2 We visit the ‘World Heritage’ city of Bath, with its beautiful and elegant architecture and world-class attractions. There are many ways to enjoy your day, explore the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, the Roman Baths and the magnificent Abbey or perhaps take tea in the gentle atmosphere of the Pump Room. Friday We travel north, making a comfort stop en route to the industrially historical town of Halifax Standing proud in its centre, the Piece Hall is a Grade I listed building dating from 1779 that was built as a cloth hall for the trading of ‘pieces’ of cloth. Upon arrival we will have a tour by a knowledgeable heritage guide who will lead us on a journey of discovery; now the only surviving building of its kind anywhere in the UK there are many fascinating stories to be told, ranging from the Georgian period right through to the current day.

Saturday After breakfast, we begin our Emmerdale adventure travelling first to Otley –the location for ‘Hotton’ in the series. We enjoy some time here before moving on to the tiny village of Esholt, where the show was filmed for decades. Sunday On arrival in London, we will make our way to one of London’s most iconic landmarks, the View from the Shard. It is the tallest building in Western Europe soaring 244 meters and 72 floors above the Capital. Twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, it offers unparalleled 360-degree views of up to 40 miles across the city. Great Breaks Booking
For a provisional booking, a simple telephone call is all that is needed. We will hold places for you without obligation for 7 days. (Please note:- Provisional bookings will be cancelled automatically if payment is not received within 7 days).
Confirmation of Booking
In order to confirm your booking, we require a £50 per person deposit within 7 days. Once received we will send you your Great Breaks confirmation, the number and location of seats booked and confirmed departure time. Your final balance will be due 8 weeks prior to departure.
Methods of Payment
All normal methods of payment, including cash, cheque, by debit and credit card and by telephone or by post are acceptable.

Cancellation by the Company
Should circumstances arise where, due to less than 20 bookings, we are forced to cancel a Great Break holiday all monies paid by all passengers for that particular excursion will be refunded and following that the Company shall be exempt from any further liability.
Cancellation by the Passenger
You may cancel your Great Break holiday at any time and provided that we receive notice of cancellation within 56 days (8 weeks) of the departure date, then we will refund you the value of the break, less a £20 cancellation charge and the value of your travel insurance premium. No refunds can be given for cancellations made less than 56 days prior to departure. You may be able to claim back the cost of
your Great Break (less the insurance premium and the insurance excess charge) through your travel insurance which can be purchased at the time of booking.

Inclusions
The ‘Your Holiday Includes’ section on each page highlights those entrances/admissions that are included within your Great Break price. All other admissions and lunches are not included.
Hotels
Porterage is generally provided in most hotels. Dinners in some hotels are served on a carvery basis, please ask for details.
Alterations
The company reserves the right to alter or cancel any of the Great Breaks listed in this brochure, and to alter the size and specification of the vehicle used.
If you Change Your Booking
If, after our confirmation has been issued, you wish to change to another of our holidays or change departure date, we will do our utmost to make the changes, but we cannot guarantee to do so. However, notification must be received in writing at our offices from the person who signed the booking form. This must be accompanied by a payment of £20 to cover our administrative costs, plus costs we incur in making the amendment. Alterations may not be able to be made within 6 weeks of departure and any such request for an alteration will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and will be subject to the cancellation charges set out in paragraph below. Some arrangements cannot be changed without paying a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the ticket cost.
