WILTSHIRE
Wiltshire is a historic and ceremonial county in the South West of England, where you will find expansive countryside and views along paths once used by druids, pilgrims and drovers. Wiltshire has been a very special place for a very long time, the World Heritage Site stands as a testament to the ages. The prehistoric henge monuments at Stonehenge and Avebury are world renowned and they are only part of the story.

Take a trip on the Kennet and Avon canal, the canal runs 87 miles that links London to the Bristol Channel passing through the beautiful landscapes of Wiltshire. The canal has some awesome examples of canal engineering, the Caen Hill Locks is one of the longest continuous flight of locks in the country - with a total of 29 locks and a rise of 237 feet over 2 miles. The canal has tonnes of history - during the Industrial Revolution it was a key means of transport for goods and materials. Today it’s a great way to explore the county’s extraordinary scenery and countryside.
Explore Chippenham a historical market town with a mixture of old and new, the high street hosting booming street markets on Fridays and Saturdays, beautifully maintained parks and surrounding stone-built villages and
film makers’ favourites of Lacock Abbey (NT), Biddestone and Castle Comb that have featured in many film and TV shows such as; Harry Potter, War Horse, Pride & Prejudice and Stardust.
LONGLEAT HOUSE & SAFARI PARK
Visit Longleat House and Safari Park, nestled in the countryside it’s just waiting to be explored. Discover various species of animals from all around the world, including the Lions, Tigers, Koalas and many more. Explore the grounds by road, rail, waterways and foot. There is a multitude of things to do and see at Longleat Safari. The Safari drivethrough is a great way to get up close to carnivores from the big cats to the hyena and pack of wolves as they roam free in their open enclosures that take you across the continents via animals.
Home to the 8th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath, marvel at Longleat House’s architecture, one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain, that contains one of the most significant private collections in Britain and wonder around the 900 acres of gardens and formal gardens, which date back to 1st Viscount Weymouth at your leisure.

at your own pace before we travel to Bradfordon-Avon for a short break before continuing on to the stunning village of Lacock and exploring the TV and film locations of the village. Spend a day at the Longleat House and Safari. Then before we come home a delightful trip to Cirencester ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ to round off this beautiful holiday.
