Cadbury World at Easter
Monday 1st April
Uncover a world of chocolate delights, learn how your favourite confectionary is made, doodle in chocolate and discover the origins of the cocoa bean before jumping aboard the Cadabra ride and meeting with John Cadbury himself. Join Freddo and a whole host of Cadbury characters as they whisk you on a journey in the 4D chocolate adventure and experience the sensation of riding the Crunchie rollercoaster and taking to the skies in the Cadbury Creme Egg airship.

Cambridge and Cream Tea in Grantchester

Enjoy free time to explore the city of Cambridge, perhaps visit the ‘greatest little museum in the world’, the Fitzwilliam Museum. We round the day off at the Orchard Tea Rooms in Grantchester for a cream tea. For over 700 years, students such as Newton, Darwen, Cromwell and Tennyson have walked, ridden or boated from Cambridge to Grantchester Village.

Pot House Hamlet and Cannon Hall Farm
Thursday 4th April
We call at Pot House Hamlet, with café, shops and petting farm. We then continue to Cannon Hall Farm, a family owned and operated working farm and TV famous from appearances on Springtime on the Farm, Winter on the Farm, The Yorkshire Vet and more. Get up close with the farm animals including lambs, piglets, horses, llamas and Highland cows. Explore the Reptile House and watch demonstrations including goat milking and farm life.

Situated within a working Naval Base, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is home to a collection of fantastic attractions, historic ships and museums. The Tower of London

Discover the Tower of London’s 900 year history as a royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, mint, arsenal, menagerie and jewel house. It has been the seat of British government and the living quarters of monarchs, the site of renowned political intrigue and the repository of the Crown Jewels. Highlights include the magnificent collection of 23,578 gemstones, still used in royal ceremonies today, kept under armed guard in the Jewel House, the White Tower, built by William the Conqueror, which houses displays from the Royal Armouries, live costumed re-enactments, and see instruments of torture in the Lower Wakefield Tower.

Bletchley Park – Home of the Codebreakers

Evesham Blossom Trail and Carvery
Wednesday 10th April
The Vale of Evesham and its surrounding area is some of the most productive horticultural land in the country, and is well known for its apples, pears and plums. The roadsides are ablaze with colour – the soft pink tones of cherry and apple blossom contrast with the white of the pear and the plum. We enjoy a stop off at The Valley, Evesham’s country park, with its shopping village, garden centre and light railway. We return via the Wheelbarrow Castle country pub, where we enjoy a delicious two-course carvery.

Buxton and the Judith Mary Cream Tea Cruise
Saturday 13th April
Located in the Peak District National Park, we arrive at Buxton where you can enjoy some free time taking in the architecture or visiting its shops before we head to the stunning Upper Peak Forest Canal to board the Judith Mary, a 72 foot long canal boat, to enjoy a 2-hour peaceful cruise through outstanding countryside with magnificent views of the mountains all around whilst enjoying a Cream Tea.

Claverton Manor: The American Museum and Bath
Tuesday 16th April
We enjoy a couple of hours to explore Bath, before continuing to Claverton Manor, a Grade I listed Georgian Estate with gardens designed by famous US landscape architects Oehme van Sweden and an arboretum. The museum features American arts and heritage with over 12,000 objects including collections of quilts, folk art and maps, which are recognised as some of the most significant in Europe. The contemporary New American Garden is a tapestry of American prairie planting and the Mount Vernon Garden takes its inspiration from George Washington Estate in Virginia.

Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Tour

RHS Bridgewater and the Sky Garden
Tuesday 30th April
We visit Castleford Viaduct, built in 1892, it is a core part of Manchester’s industrial heritage. After years of standing empty it has recently been transformed by the National Trust into a ‘garden in the sky’. RHS Bridgewater opened in 2021 on the former Worsley New Hall, with highlights including the Paradise Garden, Kitchen Garden and Walled Garden.

We travel to Runnymede, and enjoy a relaxing 2-hour cruise through the ‘back garden’ of Windsor Castle, with views of the castle and Royal Farm. We enjoy lunch whilst on board. We then have an afternoon visit to the Savill Garden, part of Great Windsor Park, nestled into 35 acres with highlights including National collections, rare species and Champion trees, where we also include cream tea.

Bluebells at Greys Court and Henley-on-Thames
Friday 3rd May
Henley-on-Thames is one of the most beautiful towns in England. It has a lovely riverside location, a pub where Charles I drank, a Chantry house, a butcher that smokes his own meat, and independent shops to explore. The bluebells at Greys Court cover the estate in a beautiful carpet of blue – and the wider grounds include an arboretum, Chinese Moon Bridge and a series of walled gardens. Explore the house, a patchwork of styles from Tudor show house to 20th century family home.

Highclere Castle – The Real Downton Abbey
Sunday 5th May
Location for TV’s hit drama Downton Abbey, and home to the Caernarvon Family since 1679, the original house was recorded in the Domesday Book, and the present day castle was designed in 1842 by Sir Charles Barry, the architect also responsible for the Houses of Parliament. It is one of England’s most beautiful Victorian castles, set amidst 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland. The castles history also includes a fascinating connection with ancient Egypt and houses a commemorative exhibition.

The Trentham Estate and Churnet Valley Railway
Wednesday 15th May
At Trentham, explore the famous Italian gardens, Rivers of Grass and Floral Labyrinth, with the spectacular mile long Capability Brown designed Trentham Lake at its heart. The shopping village has more than 80 timber lodges to browse. In the afternoon enjoy a nostalgic steam ride on the Churnet Valley Railway, through Staffordshire’s hidden valley and into the Staffordshire Moorlands on the outskirts of the Peak District.

Romantic Southern Cotswolds and Chavenage House with Afternoon Tea
Thursday 16th May
We first visit Painswick, ‘Queen of the Cotswolds’. Built from mellow Cotswold stone, wander around its quaint streets with a variety of small shops and galleries. We continue to Malmesbury on the edge of the south eastern Cotswolds, with its stunning 12th century abbey, Market Cross and free Athelston Museum. We finish the day at Chavenage House, a beautiful Elizabethan Manor, known as ‘Trenwith’, the ‘Poldark’ pile. It has been used for many other TV programmes, including the ‘House of Elliot’ and ‘Lark Rise to Candleford’. We include afternoon tea.

Beaumaris and Puffin Island Cruise

Enjoy free time in Beaumaris, on the Isle of Anglesey, with its imposing castle, gaol and Victorian pier. We then enjoy an hour and a half cruise, out of the Menai Strait and towards Puffin Island; home to 14 species of sea birds as well as grey seals and the occasional dolphin.

Aberystwyth and Rheidol Railway
Sunday 19th May
We enjoy free time in the seaside resort of Aberystwyth, on the rugged Ceredigion coastline. It boasts the oldest pier in Wales, a mile long Victorian promenade, with the world’s largest Camera Obscura. The Cliff Railway is the longest in Britain. It is a foodie heaven and offers lovely independent shops to browse. The Arts Centre and National Library of Wales are also worth a visit. In the afternoon we include a return ride on the Rheidol Railway, a stunning journey along the Rheidol Valley, through the ancient woodlands to Devil’s Bridge, home of the famous waterfalls, nestling in the magnificent Cambrian Mountains.

Nantwich and Anderton Boat Lift and Cruise with Cream Tea
Tuesday 21st May
Nantwich is a charming historical market town set beside the River Weaver with a quaint market square and a wide range of speciality shops. Nicknamed ‘Cathedral of the Canals’, not only does the Anderton Boat Lift still do the job it was designed to do of lifting boats and barges 50 feet from the River Weaver, to the Trent and Mersey Canal, but it does it with the most ingenious and endearing character of any structure of the canal system. We include a boat trip on Edwin Clark, the glass sided boat which includes a lift trip and a cruise along the River Weaver, with cream tea.

Red Kites and Reservoirs: The Elan Valley and Gigrin Farm with Refreshments
Saturday 25th May
We travel to the beautiful Elan Valley and make a stop at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre, set against a spectacular backdrop of a Victorian stone dam. We enjoy a circular tour, accompanied by a knowledgeable ranger and pause for photos. In the afternoon we make our way to Gigrin Farm, known as the Red Kite Feeding Centre. It is a 200 acre working farm, where at 3pm everyday hundreds of Red Kites feed. Watch the truly breathtaking spectacle from hides just a few metres away. There is a coffee shop and gift shop on site.

Eastnor Castle with Steam and Vintage Fair
Sunday 26th May
Eastnor Castle is an enchanting castle at the foot of the Malvern Hills surrounded by a beautiful deer park, arboretum and lake. The historic house is full of medieval armour and fine art and the grounds offer wonderful walks and an adventure playground. We visit the steam and vintage event, where in addition to the usual attractions you will find an impressive line up of steam engines, vintage cars, giant garden games, vintage carousel, model steam engine rides, chair swings and more.

Gloucester Tall Ships Festival
Monday 27th May
The iconic tall ships will be taking centre stage, recently featured in Ridley Scott’s blockbuster film Napoleon Greyhound, Spirit of Falmouth, which will be sailed into Gloucester by retired Armed Forces Veterans, and Irene, which has featured in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice Through the Looking Glass. There will also be live music, immersive experiences and a deep dive into the adventures that have taken place in the docks across its 200 year history, as well as the other attractions including Waterways Museum and Outlet Shopping.

Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetland Centre with Lunch

A great day out, go on a guided tour and soak up over 900 years of history, from medieval fortress to family home at Berkeley Castle. Enjoy the terraced gardens with views over the River Severn. We arrive at Slimbridge at lunchtime and enjoy a light lunch and then afterwards explore 100’s of acres of beautiful wetland landscape. Meet ducks, geese and swans from all over the world and take in breathtaking views of the Severn Estuary. Portmeirion Italianate Village and Lunch at Castell Deudraeth

We visit one of Wales’ premier visitor attractions, Portmeirion, the enchanting Italianate style village on the coast of North Wales. Marvel at the architectural heritage, visit the village with its variety of shops, cafes, colourful buildings, picturesque piazza and exhibitions. Explore the 70 acres of exotic woodlands, complete with Japanese garden and lily covered lake and search out the Dog’s Cemetery, the Tangle Wood Ghost Garden and Shelter Valley. The coastal paths take you to the white sandy beaches to discover hidden caves and the famous Stone Boat of Portmeirion. We include a delicious two-course lunch at Castell Deudraeth in the village.

Stockbridge, the Test Valley and Mottisfont Abbey Roses
Friday 7th June
Ancient trees, bubbling brooks and rolling lawns frame the romantic 18th century house, Mottisfont Abbey. Crafted from a medieval priory and brimming with creativity and fascinating history, Mottisfont is also home to the National Collection of pre-1900 old fashioned roses and the stunning walled gardens are filled with heavenly fragrance and colour from thousands of roses, which reach their peak in June. We call for a break in Stockbridge after our visit, in the heart of the Test Valley. The River Test flows under the high street and there is an abundance of independent specialist shops and tea rooms.

Scenic Coast Tour: Starcross, Teignmouth and Dawlish

We head south and travel though Starcross, to Dawlish for free time. The RAF Cosford Air Show includes an action packed 6-hour flying display with the very best displays including powerful demonstrations of modern military aircraft, captivating appearances from iconic vintage aircraft and adrenaline pumping aerobatic displays. There will also be a huge assortment on static display for you to view up close. On the ground you will find hundreds of exhibits, stalls, trade stands and military demonstrations including WWII aircraft, the Vintage Village and classic vehicles.

Camden and Regent’s Canal Cruise with Afternoon Tea

Hever Castle in Bloom with Lunch

Stow-on-the-Wold and Sezincote House

Tywyn and Talyllyn Railway

Tywyn is in the heart of Cardigan Bay and is a picture book Victorian resort town with a long stretch of sandy coastline and sand dunes. It has some interesting shops, Wurlitzer Organ in the Drill Hall and a railway museum. The Talyllyn Railway is a historic narrow gauge steam railway which runs from Tywyn to Nant Gwernol, passing the delightful Dolgoch Falls, through the charming Fathew Valley, past streams and waterfalls, through beautiful valleys.

Broadway, Chipping Camden and Cotswold Lavender

Known as ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’, Broadway is dominated by a wide tree-lined street packed with independent shops, restaurants and a couple of excellent museums. Chipping Camden is one of the best preserved and most historically important towns in the Cotswolds. Brecon and Scenic Brecon Canal Cruise
Friday 5th July
We enjoy a stop in Brecon, bustling town at the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, before we spend a peaceful two and a half hours cruising along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, through the glorious National Park scenery. Ffestiniog Railway and Porthmadog

The Ffestiniog Railway is the oldest independent railway company in the world, established in 1832. The railway takes you on a 13½-mile journey from Blaenau Ffestiniog in the mountains, round horse shoe bends, past lakes and waterfalls, through magnificent forest, to the harbour in the seaside town of Porthmadog, a busy harbour town with a good range of shops and a maritime museum.

Join us for a unique day with Hovertravel – the fastest service between Southsea and the Isle of Wight. This special trip will include a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the world’s longest operational hovercraft service. A chance to meet the Pilots & Crew who literally ‘fly’ across the Solent. You will have an opportunity to learn how these wonderful machines work and experience them first hand as we provide you with an exclusive Hover Demo before we glide across the waves to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Steaming through the Cotswolds to Cheltenham

Marlow and Beckonscot Model Village with Cream Tea

Wightwick Manor and David Austin Roses with Lunch

Wightwick Manor is a Victorian timber-framed manor house, built in 1887 with 17 acres of gardens. The house features William Morris interiors and a collection of De Morgan Pottery. Gardens include Arts and Craft Garden and Kitchen Garden. David Austin Roses is an award-winning Rose Garden considered to be one of the finest rose gardens in the world, home of the National Collection of English Roses. There are six themed gardens with a variety 700 roses to show.

Abingdon to Oxford Cruise with Fish and Chips

Bury St Edmunds and Fullers Mill Garden

Bury St Edmunds is one of Suffolk’s most beautiful towns, enjoy free time before the short drive to one of East Anglia’s hidden gems, Fullers Mill Garden. Winner of RHS Partner Garden of the year in the East of England, it offers a wide range of garden areas with the river and mill pond.

Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu River Cruise and Afternoon Tea

We visit Bucklers Hard, an 18th century shipbuilding village on the banks of the Beaulieu River. The unspoilt haven is steeped in history from its beginnings in the 13th century when it was owned by Cistercian monks, to its time as a shipyard where boats for Nelson’s Navy were built. Discover its stories in the museum and reconstructed cottage displays. We include a costumed guided tour, a tranquil 30-minute cruise along the Beaulieu River with commentary and afternoon tea.

Westminster Abbey, London
Friday 6th September
Take a self guided tour of this architectural masterpiece of the 13th-16th centuries. Westminster Abbey presents a unique pageant of British history, from the shrine of Edward the Confessor, the tombs of Kings and Queens and memorials of the famous and the great. This has also been the setting for every coronation since 1066 and has seen 16 Royal weddings. There are many parts you can visit including Poets Corner, Coronation Chair, the Lady Chapel, Royal Tombs, Unknown Warrior, Cloisters, Chapter House and the Queens Diamond Jubilee Galleries.

Windsor and Windsor Castle

Our visit to the historic market town of Windsor is home to the world famous Windsor Castle which has for over 900 years been continuously inhabited and has been improved and restored by successive monarchs.
Our visit includes the magnificent State Apartments, which are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal collection. St George’s Chapel, which was the setting for the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018, is one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England. Ten monarchs and senior Royal Family members are buried here including Henry VIII and Charles I, and more recently King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) and Princess Margaret.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Whitby
Sunday 8th September
We travel to Pickering, and the 1930’s themed station, to board the railway which featured in the hit TV series Heartbeat. We journey to Grosmont, where our coach will collect you and take you to Goathland, the fictional ‘Aidensfield’, where many of the landmarks from the series are recognisable including the stores, garage, public house and the railway, which also became Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter films. We finish the afternoon in the seaside resort of Whitby, with its rich maritime history, connections to Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Captain Cook and glorious abbey ruins.

Salt & Silk! Macclesfield Silk Museum and Lion Salt Works
Thursday 12th September
We visit two award-winning Cheshire museums, the Silk Mill and Lion Salt Works Museum, including lunch and refreshments. The Silk Mill and Paradise Mill tells the 300 year history of Macclesfield as a global centre for silk manufacturing, textiles and design. It features a unique collection of machines as well as the largest collection of silk Jacquard handlooms in Europe. On arrival at Lion Salt Works enjoy a sandwich lunch then take a guided tour which tells the story of open pan salt making and the huge deposits of salt that lie beneath the Cheshire Plain.

Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House
Thursday 19th September
Baddesley Clinton was the home of the Ferrers family for 500 years. It was a sanctuary not only for the Ferrers family but also for persecuted catholics who were hidden from priest hunters in its secret hiding places during the 1590’s. Packwood House is a much restored Tudor house, park and garden with notable topiary. It contains a fine collection of 16th century textiles and furniture, and the gardens have renowned herbaceous borders and a famous collection of yews.
