ALMOST 100 YEARS EXPERIENCE Concrete Integrity is a specialist concrete waterproofing and repair company operating out of Auckland, NZ. The management team comprises three key industry veterans who between them have almost 100 years experience in specialist concrete services.

KEN ROBERTS, GM Kiwi-born Ken Roberts has more than 35 years in the industry. He built his own specialist concrete waterproofing business in Perth, trading successfully for 30 years, working on projects as diverse as soil stabilization, façade repairs, and concrete cancer repairs on municipal water tanks.

RODNEY, PM

Kiwi-born Rodney Cotton previously owned and operated Australasia’s largest concrete drilling and sawing company offering drilling, sawing, demolition, refurbishment, concrete repair and ground penetrating radar detection. In 2014 he purchased Mohan Roofing Services one of New Zealand’s leading waterproofing companies.

Joining Rodney and Ken is a management team who are qualified and/or certified concrete tradesmen from around the world. These executives will oversee all construction projects to ensure the best results and the highest standards of service to our commercial partners.

REPAIR, NOT REPLACE CONCRETE REPAIRS

With a wide variety of grouting products available on the market, choosing the right product for your job is 90% of the success of the repair. In some cases moisture is your friend, and you can use it to make your repairs stronger and more durable. In other cases, it’s your enemy, and the solution you choose must work regardless of moisture content. We therefore use two distinct classes of products, as illustrated on the following page.

HYDROPHOBIC RESIN INJECTION Commonly referred to as “Single Shot Urethane” Grouts, these products are two-pot mix resins which are unaffected by moisture. They can expand up to 30 times their size, making them ideal for tight spaces, and they set to form an impermeable barrier, which is strong, inflexible, and long lasting. Typically they’re used in seawalls, manholes, filling voids, or soil stabilization. They’re impermeable to fluids so unaffected by changing moisture or water tables.

HYDROPHILIC RESIN INJECTION Hydrophilic Polyurethane is ideal for crack filling and leak prevention. It actively seeks out moisture, absorbs up to 30 times it’s weight in fluids, expanding into tight cracks, and creating a strong and durable seal. It retains a degree of flexibility making it ideal where movement or expansion and contraction might be expected (as is the case in most crack repairs).

LEAKS Polyurethane grouts provide solutions to problem situations especially when major inflows are present or when long term performance is required.

Although polyurethane grouts have been extensively used worldwide for almost four decades, some large grouting firms still have not caught on to this trend.

SEISMIC DAMAGE Using a seismic grout can not only repair damage already done, but protect structures from future seismic activity.

Tests conducted in Italy have shown that by including a “shake layer� in the structure you can reduce seismic activity by up to 50-70%

EXTREME/EMERGENCY REPAIR The alkali–silica reaction (ASR), more commonly known as “concrete cancer”, is a swelling reaction that occurs over time in concrete between the highly alkaline cement paste and the reactive non-crystalline (amorphous) silica found in many common aggregates, given sufficient moisture.

Concrete cancer is caused when the steel reinforcing within a concrete slab begins to rust. As the steel rusts it expands, displacing the concrete around it, causing it to become brittle and crack thus accelerating the process. Signs of concrete cancer include: Crazing and cracking concrete (concrete spalling)
