My parents won´t let me stay out late. They make me come home before the house. My kinds never help me clean the house. I have them do their homework before dinner.
I can’t get them to clean up their rooms. My parents want me to study law. I have to ask them to drive me everywhere. My wife is always telling me to slow down.
Well, in this unit you will learn to use certain verbs to communicate your feeling about your family, friends, work and school. Also you will learn to talk about the memories of your family using the grammatical structures used to and would to express stories from the past. As you can see, these two topics are very common and personal. The fact that you will be able to express your feelings and talk about the happiest memories in your life will help you to communicate better with your friends.

USE TO AND WOULD Use used to for regular activities or situations in the past that don’t happen now or are no longer true.
Use would for regular activities in the past.
I used to go over to my sister house a lot. My grandmother used to keep candy in her pockets. The five of used to play on a team.
I’d play with my niece and nephew. She’d always give us some.
