Jonas Honick

Born into a modest family in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Jonas was the youngest child of Irvin and Mary Honick. His father, a decorated World War II veteran, and his mother, a hardworking factory worker, instilled in him the values of diligence and integrity, which became the cornerstones of his life and career. Jonas's educational journey began at Valley High School, where he excelled both in his studies and on the basketball court. After high school, he attended Choate Rosemary Hall for a postgraduate year, earning accolades for his academic and athletic performance, including the prestigious David T. Layman Award.
