The rooms, however, have somewhat more conservative materials such as wood flooring, ceramic cladding or plasterboard false ceilings. Therefore, a happy and optimistic intervention is sought that manages to coexist the most conservative character of the building with that of the young students who inhabit it.
We do the interior design of a student residence. In contrast to the classic building from the 50s, the design proposal tries to generate a contemporary atmosphere with the idea of connecting with the students who reside in it. Continuous flooring, walls and color signage along with the facilities seen in public spaces help to shape it.

The project consists of the rehabilitation and reconversion of an old school in Valladolid, into an hotel and an big event space for wed dings. The current volume has currently a patio without any type of vegetation. In the initial volume there is the hotel that serves the rest of the complex. A new plant building is built with a metal structure and a zinc roof. This new volume is sewn with the old one using metal pergolas. It is intended to give the new volume an industrial character, but maintaining a traditional spirit in keeping with the old building.

THE WEEKEND
OF COUNTRY
There was an old tool house in ruins and the objective was to carry out a rehabilitation and reconversion of it into a weekend house, maintaining the rustic exterior appearance of the area. The original geometry of the building was respected. Industrial elements were introduced both in the plates of the openings to the facade which emerge from the facade as a way of looking at the Sierra de Gredos, and in the gate or pergola.
The exterior environment was also adapted by replanting various plant species, trying to respect the typical flora of the area. In the interior we tried to achieve a clear and minimalist design.

The project consisted in the reform of a 400m2 house and its partition in 2 independent houses but connected by a hall/reception room. The state of the house was ruinous, we proceeded to the absolute demolition of the house and the design of both a new distribution and the furniture of it.
The houses were for a mother and a daughter and then the design had to be different to meet the different needs of both. Both houses end up revolving around a very large living room / kitchen, separating the day area from the night area.

The project consists of the reform of a 1960's house and its plot, both of which were in a state of abandonment and in a very deteriorated Thecondition.aimis to create a better interior-exterior connection by opening new holes in the façade. Currently, the house is closed in itself.
Looking for a uniformity of materials to give a sobriety and elegance to the project, only wood, stone and iron are used.
The interior is articulated by means of a double height with a metallic staircase (of own design) through which the rest of the spaces of the house are articulated.
We also act in the plot, transforming a small shed into an "orangerie" to use as a dining room throughout the year, also built a pool that together with a metal pergola gives us access to the house.

The project consists of the expansion and adaptation of an old industrial warehouse from the 60s, in the interstitial area between Sant Cu gat and Cerdanyola, in a multi-functional center that combines performing arts, business incubator and relationship with the environment for the people of the zone. Both the building and the environment are currently in a state of disuse or infrause due to the economic crisis. In contrast to this fact, is pursued the inclusion of the warehouse in the Creation Factories, a network of municipal cultural facilities, focu sed on cultural creation and production. These facts make the factory have to adapt to these changes, creating a building that reinforces the social and cultural networks of the area and acting as an element of regeneration.

I hope that he can, therefore, devote herself with passion and talent to the real advancement of our discipline, both through the academic and professional fields.
On the other hand, we had also the opportunity to work with Jonás in the development of interior design projects sucha as restaurants and housing programs. Jonás is a very mature, trustworthy person who shows an unbreakable commitment to his duties, someone who always knows how to ask the rignt questions, who displays high receptiveness to feedback and who is not afraid of leading whenever necessary.
It is a pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Jonás Jiménez Gil, Architect from the ETSAV UPC “Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura del Vallés Barcelona”, who has been a member of Foxium Arquitectura for almost two years.
