These were screenwriter Aaron Sorkin’s words describing what the founding of Facebook could mean for the way we live as a society. They’ve grown truer with each passing year, as companies have stepped up their efforts to put their online presence at the forefront of their brand. People now have more daily experiences online than they do in real life. Instead of speaking to co-workers, we send emails. Rather than paying someone in person, we send it through Venmo. When we book a trip, we use travel sites, not travel agents.
